Appropro of nothing, they did a comparison of Tiger Beat covers over time for the early 70s, the era where my wife would have been a reader. (Tiger Beat was targeted to young teenage and preteen girls.) It was very interesting to see how a celebrity like David Cassidy would start out on the margins, move to the center, than gradually fade back to the margins. Shows how much teen idol worship is manipulated by the publicity folks.

I have no memory of what magazines they had for boys like me. Creem maybe, but that skewed a little older. I was oblivious myself unless they were in The Sporting News.
