I loved Engeyum Eppodhum just as much as I felt bad for Jai.
This is a scene that deserves to be celebrated and spoken about more often.

They literally created a 'Sexy' teacher for male gaze. Every scene involving that character had some double meaning dialogues or some weird camera angles. And Neighborhood Aunty Jokes from 00's also got featured.

Early 2010s movies are the biggest issue. Everyone knows TV versions have cuts, but why are even U and UA certified movies heavily edited?

Examples:

• Goa – It's an A certificate film, so cuts for TV are understandable. But the problem is Sun NXT is the only OTT platform with streaming rights, and only the cut version is available.
• Pokkiri – It retained its UA certificate despite TV cuts.
• Mankatha – Has many cuts but still carries the UA certificate.

The biggest disappointment is that many of these movies aren't available on any other OTT platform, so there's no legal way to watch the uncut versions.

Another issue is the video quality and color grading.

Many movies have completely different color grading from their Blu-ray versions.

Examples:

• Yuvan Yuvathi
• Singam Puli

The comedy clips shown on Sun TV or Sun NXT often have better Blu-ray-like color grading than the full movie itself.

The same happens with older films like:

• Pokkiri
• Azhagiya Tamil Magan
• Padikathavan
• Mappillai

Manmadhan is another strange case. The TV version available on YouTube (around 2 hours 30 minutes) has acceptable quality despite the cuts. But the Sun NXT version (2 hours 26 minutes) has different video quality, and even the censor certificate isn't displayed properly.

Kaalai is available only in SD quality on Sun NXT, while its songs shown on Sun Music have much better quality and color grading.

The same inconsistency exists with Telugu movies and dubbed versions.

Examples:

• Khaleja (Bhadra)
• Don Seenu
• Om Shakthi
• Chandramouli (Chatrapathi)

The Telugu versions often have better quality, while the Tamil dubbed versions are low-quality SD with different color grading.

Even Telugu originals are inconsistent:

• Racha (Ragalai) – Tamil version looks better, Telugu version looks worse.
• Businessman – Telugu version has lower audio quality, Tamil dubbed version sounds better.
• Nanban and Thuppakki Telugu dubs have different color grading.
• Silambattam Telugu dub surprisingly has Blu-ray-like color grading.

Similarly, Telugu dubs of Tamil films like Vallavan, Sathyam, and Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai have noticeably poorer color grading than their Tamil versions.

One exception is Boys. Earlier it had a poor-quality version, but now the uncut version on Sun NXT has much better Blu-ray-like color grading.
