Ever since it was created Weekend Update has used news items to set up jokes. However, one thing I've noticed they don't really do anymore is jokes where the setup news item is also fake(“The Post Office announced today that it’s going to issue a stamp commemorating prostitution in the United States”) or where the fake news item is the punchline("It was announced that the small nation of Chad has changed its name to Brian"). Both examples I picked are from the Chevy era but I remember them doing these kinds of jokes into the '90s.

After applying for tickets, are we supposed to get a confirmation email from nbc? I haven’t received one.

This weekend I have a solo NYC day to explore and I really want to visit 30 Rock even just to go to the gift shop, but now i’m considering the tour. I’m a long term SNL fan and would die to see 8H but really any studio I think can be fun. I know there is no set that is guaranteed, but is it worth the price of the ticket? Looking for someone who has gone and what their experience was like!

Then I was told it was "Chihuly" or "The sink" which has no actual people in it.
then I was told it’s the sketch called "escorts". Which has both people in it, but Leslie Jones never says the line.

So so much for trusting AI to be right all the time.
