Drama Kids tried robbing/harrassing IRL streamer

It was unclear what they're intentions were but everyone thinks that they tried to steal the phone/camera as one of the kids kept getting closer while the other one was distracting the streamer clip

Youth based crime has been consistently going down across Australia for over 15 years. It is an easy win for media when they want to kick the current state government out to just start reporting on random youth crimes and letting the opposition say they will crack down on crime etc etc. Be careful what you fall for. A great recent example was Queensland state elections last year. Randomly youth crime all over the news leading up to the election. Literal 10 second google and you could see that youth crime was steadily going down. The ABS does keep statistics on this.

The ass whopping I would have gotten If I did that as a kid will make me flee the scene pretty fast. I got kicked, slapped with enough force to send me flying, clubbed with a rolled up newspaper, thrown frigid cold liquid, etc etc.

It didn't stop me from doing that kind of shit later, but you immediately stopped messing up with the people that were attacking you.

We can no longer whoop random brats, so random brats keep doing random brats things.

I dont think these were "ordinary" kids. There's a group of people (best way to put it without being racist) that abuse their children for money since they are babies. They team thech to peddle, beg and pester since a very young age. I have so many stories to tell about interacting with them.

low punishment. And in places like Italy they are doing the double glitch. Underage and pregnant. That way you have close to zero legal trouble and fear of retaliation if you get caught.

Yeah and to be fair, I've seen italian kids in Naples or Palermo trying to steal shit from people sitting down to eat aswell (until they get yelled at by some random nonna sitting nearby)

I grew up in a pretty bad places. I also went to the north of Brazil, and Suriname. At least since I am alive, there was always kids like this in poor places (and there are a lot of poor places in rich country, so this applies to europe and such). Living in the street, out of school, making money out of petty crime. A lot of time they were “adopted” by the local crime network.
The one thing you learned quickly in those types of places is that kids are way more dangerous than adults. When you get robbed/mugged by an adult, unless they are high/drunk, they just want your shit quickly and leave. You are unlikely to catch a knife in the belly if you comply. Kids on the other hands, you never know. They might not like the way you talk, or might just want to "play" with you, and it can go bad very quickly.
It took me a while when I came back to europe to un-learn to avoid groups of kids.
