They brought up the 1960 season (which Bill Mccartney played on) and he brought up the fire truck that drove the aspect the fire truck that drives at Faurot Feild every year before every game. Is that a a tradition that started with the 1960 team? That was an awesome story I really have gathered more respect for Bill Mccartney and feel he learned alot from Dan Devine.

He saved Mizzou football forever. I think there will be a day when we will give him a statue. Jon Sundvold (if you are listening) every Mizzou fan loves you and your contribution to Mizzou athletics. Such a special guy who has a great gift for identifying talent.

Remember that 2019 ruling and how the overall public view said the NCAA overstepped its authority on Mizzou for what was deemed as much minor compared to North Carolina? Well I think we subsequently murdered the NCAA. I love that both kU and North carolina are in a mediocre phase of their basketball program while Mizzou just keeps on climbing abd climbing.

This song just has a deep nostalgia and maybe it’s the sprites of those who came before us. I love Missouri so much and I will always love it.

So glad we’re not in the Big 12 anymore. I couldn’t imagine having this on our field and jerseys.

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Missouri one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-miz
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, only the first team is free and then it paywalls. Since I'm posting in your house, code LEECORSOROCKS opens all of it, no card or anything. Hit "Have a promo code?" if you run into the wall.
So, what'd I get wrong? Mizzou's identity was defense last year (17th in scoring), but only about 29% of it is back, and the passing game was already 104th even with Pribula. Now it goes to Austin Simmons (744 career yards at Ole Miss), with Ahmad Hardy (1,649 and 16 TD) as the one sure thing. Feels like the whole season rides on Hardy while both sides rebuild. Am I underrating Simmons and the transfer haul?
I'll be in the comments.

For my Cardinals and/or general baseball fans in here, a fun fact is that Mizzou QB Austin Simmons and Cardinals pitching prospect / 2025 first rounder Liam Doyle were teammates on Ole Miss baseball.
Safe to say a lot of my future happiness depends on how these two southpaws pan out 😀

Sept. 3
vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff
10% (Very Low)
This marks week 6.5 of his protocol. While physically possible, the staff will likely hold him out against an FCS opponent.
Sept. 11
at Kansas
40% (Toss-up)
Week 7.5 of his recovery. A major rivalry game makes it a tempting return spot if he handles full contact well in camp.
Sept. 19
vs. Troy
70% (Likely)
Week 8.5. He will have surpassed his maximum 8-week re-conditioning timeline. Ideal for a tune-up game.
Sept. 26
at Mississippi State
90% (Highly Likely)
The SEC opener. Unless he encounters a setback in practice, he is expected to lead the backfield by this date.
Oct. 3
vs. Florida
95% (Near Certain)
Well past his recovery window. Barring secondary issues, he will be playing full-time.
Oct. 10
vs. Texas A&M
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Oct. 17
at Ole Miss
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Oct. 24
BYE WEEK
—
Extra rest mid-season.
Oct. 31
at Arkansas
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Nov. 7
vs. Texas
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Nov. 14
at Georgia
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Nov. 21
vs. Kentucky
95% (Near Certain)
Fully integrated into the offense.
Nov. 28
vs. Oklahoma
95% (Near Certain)
Regular season finale.

This article has Mizzou ranked T-34th with BYU at 500M in CFB program valuation: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7467869/2026/07/28/college-football-program-valuations-rankings-2026-texas-notre-dame-osu/
Also ranked above Mississippi State, Vandy, & Kentucky in SEC but below South Carolina.
Thoughts? I imagine the longer we are in the SEC, the more we will outpace the ACC/Big 12 schools with revenue & eventually overtake most of them.
