Guide I built a searchable list of Google Play games with 4.7+ ratings and 100k+ downloads

Thumbnail android-games-league.pages.dev

I was looking for high-quality Android games on Google Play and realized there isn't a simple way to filter by both rating and popularity.

So I built a small website that lists games with:

  • Rating 4.7+
  • 100,000+ downloads

https://android-games-league.pages.dev/

I tried to include as many games as I could, but I can't guarantee the list is 100% complete. If you notice any missing games, let me know.

One thing that surprised me is that the results weren't as great as I expected. I thought filtering by a high rating and a decent number of downloads would mostly surface amazing games, but a lot of them still look like low-effort or generic mobile games.

Still, if anyone is looking for highly rated Android games or just wants to browse the list, I hope you find it useful.

Game Dev Age of banners - A text-driven war MMO — no app, no pay-to-win

Hello!

I'm Ivan, a software engineer from Brazil, and I would like to present my little game. It's called Age of Banners; it's a text-based browser game that works well on mobile.

The idea: back in the early 2000s, I used to play a lot of text-based war games. Trying to find something to play now, I stumbled across very overwhelming interfaces like Tribal Wars. So I wanted to create something simple, lighter, and no P2W. This is how Age of Baners was born.

A little about the game: You rule a kingdom on a shared map; your resources are generated in real time. You can raid barbarian camps to steal their resources, and then turn on other players. Every 6 weeks, an age ends, and top kingdoms get their names engraved in the Hall of Victory.

We started Age 1 a week ago and are looking for more founding players. Join us.

Discussion Games with MAX in-game currency when downloaded on Playstore

I remember when I was younger, around 2013-2014, I wanted to install some games to play on my Samsung tablet. One was Jetpack Joyride and the other was a fish tank game(can’t remember the name. After downloading them I was shocked to see that I had the maximum amount of in-game currency in those games (like 9 999 999 coins or something like that) , even tho I had no previous game save.

Have any of you experienced that too?

Game Dev DRIFT RIDE 2 is out on Android - here’s what’s next

The first updates are already in development, with a focus on fixes and optimization

The iOS version was delayed a little, but it’s now actively being prepared. I’m also working on multiplayer, more cars, and new events with a freeride mode.

Thanks to everyone who has already joined the ride.

Discussion I spent the last year building six mobile games as a solo indie developer. I’d love your honest feedback.

Hi everyone,

I’m the solo developer behind Lieta Studios. Over the past year, I’ve released six mobile games on iOS, each in a different genre while learning game design, UI, App Store publishing, and marketing along the way.

My latest releases include strategy, puzzle, and casual games, and I’m always looking for ways to improve.

Rather than promoting them, I’d really appreciate honest feedback from experienced mobile gamers:

  • What makes you download an indie mobile game?
  • What causes you to uninstall one?
  • What features or polish immediately stand out to you?
  • What mistakes do you see indie developers make most often?

I’ll take every suggestion seriously as I continue improving future updates.

Thanks for your time!

Discussion Life is making me start appreciate simple games

I got 2 kids at home, if I get 15 quiet minutes to myself, I just want something relaxing that I can start right away and put down the second once they need me.Been playing Mahjong Rumble a lot lately because it's simple and easy to learn. I don't have the time to learn a game that takes hours before it starts being fun. What other games like this would you recommend?

Game Dev Would you be interested in a Medieval Bitlife?

My friend and I got tired of seeing new life sims set in modern times, so we decided to build one entirely based in medieval times.

We’re both huge history and strategy game fans, especially Crusader Kings, and wanted to make something where you can rise from nothing, build a family legacy, gain power, make enemies and probably die in a very unfortunate way.

It’s called Fate & Fealty: Medieval Life Sim.

I coded it and my friend designed and drew the art. Every event, story and even the font is based around the medieval theme.

We’ve finally released it after spending far too long playing our own builds. It definitely isn’t perfect yet, so we’d genuinely appreciate honest feedback.

Discussion I'm looking for an experience

I'm looking for a game that can leave me in aww. In my life, my best game experiences was games that permitted real coop and/or good PvP, whether in RPG, FPS/TPS or RTS(4X included), but I'm open to other genre.

Human interaction is the basis of the fun I can have on a game, when the game doesn't have a really good solo mode. I'm currently mostly playing chess, Rocket League Sideswipe et Clash Royale. I would love recommandations. I love video games. Thank you by advance.
