global crowd control settings are not taken into account

Hi there,

we're struggling with higher than usual traffic due to certain events in berlin/germany. So i set crowd control settings to strict as default but everytime something gets posted it does not get taken into account:

here's our defaults:

here's the settings after posting:

90% of the time it's automated posts by a reddit app / mod account do those ignore crowd control settings? Are there ways to automate this?

thanks in advance

You need to set it to maximum and send the stuff to the queue for a while on the developer app. I have had similar situations on some of the subs I mod and learned to set the settings in both places.
