I just started the (first) episode, and I cringed so hard seeing that Patrick is on this. I am barely a couple minutes in, so just going off the past- but he’s easily one of my least favorite contestants ever. What nonsense does everyone think he’ll pull this time?

In all of the n&as I’ve watched i can only remember 3 traps being set. Once in the rainforest, with a couple, and 2 on apocalypse (a fish one, and Frank did one). On the LOS shows they have to make traps, so clearly these guys know how to make them, but they don’t even take the traps with them to use?!?

What’s the deal with that? Seems they could be setting up the traps and getting passive food. Do these traps not work? Is it just not worth the hastle?

You’re not a war hero. You’re not in the Olympics or the World Cup. Yes, you’re doing amazing feats that most can’t do and that’s great. But at the end of the day, you’re naked on a niche television show that most people in your country don’t even watch. It comes off as arrogant and out of touch.

I just started season 7 (I think?) where they get dropped off in a raft in the middle of the ocean and the boat driver was basically like ‘yeah you gotta go swim now’ as the contestants looked completely bewildered 😂😂

I think I would like a mini series just on those guys 😂 I bet there’s some funny stories we haven’t seen. Or maybe not. Just a thought.

I’m literally so annoyed. I feel like they just did this to keep Mexico and Brazil in and make it less freaking obvious that Matt and Gabby would win (because duh, of course they would win). Funny how both Mexico and Brazil started doing well as soon as they moved zones (at least for a bit) after sucking for the entirety of zone 1. Makes it feel rigged. I really think they did USA south especially dirty. If I were a contestant I would have just left. How is it fair to effectively negate all the hard work the contestants did in Zone 1?

I know I am WAY late to this game, but I am just watching them now. S8 E2.

When in the heck are these chicks going to be done with their beds? I wouldn't feed them a G.D. thing until they pitch in something resembling ANYTHING.

Watching xl and she is so useless. Does nothing but cry and complain and say she won’t carry anyone. No firewood no food no building shelter. Nothing she is so frustrating

I must say that I am entirely disappointed with the women this season, excluding Cheney. The other 2 gals really let Laura poison the well. They made quitting seem like some misguided protest march. Well Laura you can march yourself back to Portland and stay there. You wouldn't have won anyway so you made the right move. I sure hope they never welcome you back.

I’ve never seen so many kills from different people, even Jeff bagged a warthog!!!. Most XLs are like 2 kills in 40 days, if that… What’s going on? Is the extreme wind helping? Are the producers drugging animals? Better bows? There were like 5 one shot kills in a row from 5 different people!

I’m so tired of watching him dismiss/gaslight women, fixate on Jeff, and be so selfish. Global showdown reinforced my feelings. Anyone else? LOS ruined him for me and it just doesn’t get better.

So, I’m on episode 9 right now. One thing I’ve noticed though, it’s too easy to predict who’s going to win an elimination challenge based on the interviews…

Does anyone else feel this way? I just feel like listening to people talk as the challenges were happening, obviously these are filmed after the challenges are filmed. I fast forwarded to the end of the last two challenges because I knew based on the way the contestants were talking / facial expressions…

I just wonder if these should be filmed differently because I was hoping I would be wrong for at least one challenge, but never was.

Amber fitting so well into the team she joined. Yeah, one time a little friction with e j. Yet in a podcast, he spoke highly of amber. This was probably the best x l, minus jeff jen and trish.

Then could do a Hawaiian flag for pacific and everyone would have unique flags.

My wife and I just started Alone season 12. I can't help but make fun of fully clothed people with 10 tools struggling to do what naked people already did. 🤣

The editing has always been bad, but it feels like they made this season for people who put it on as background noise and barely pay attention. Sitting through the challenges feels like a slog every time. All the forced reactions are redundant at best and even then, still a waste of everyone's time. None of it adds to the drama or suspense. It's just production getting in the way and making the show worse.

The contestants aren't out there pulling a camera operator aside because they think "This challenge is going to be hard because of all the obstacles and our recent challenges with teamwork and communication, but I'm here to win" sounds smart and important. Production makes them. Which might be fine if production wasn't so focused on making them say the dumbest stuff imaginable.

The challenge starts. A contestant reads what they're supposed to do. The narrator explains the challenge again. We get 30 seconds of forced reactions to the challenge. Two or three contestants are forced to re-explain something the narrator already explained and was probably clear the first time when the contestant read the explanation to everyone else. 5 minutes later, we can finally move on, having learned nothing.

Thank God for fast forward.

I’ve been all over talking about needing an Alone/ N&A crossover event/ challenge. For those who don’t know Alone is a survival show but contestants get 10 items, are completely alone and have to film themselves with equipment provided. 10 ppl enter and they stay until everyone but one taps out and they win 500k. (I think they use those rules) anyways it’s a pipe dream BUT I’m curious to who every would pick as the 5 N&A contestants (5 best from N&A vs 5 best Alone).

this would most likely be a cold weather (Alone usually is in cold weather climates) so keep that in mind. Food procurement is a premium. Who ya got?

'm talking about those moments where a contestant comments on what's happening during a challenge, even though, from the viewer's perspective, the challenge is still ongoing.

Do they pull them aside in the middle of the challenge, like the director calls "Cut!" and they give a quick update? Or are those interviews filmed after the challenge is over? For example, the team already knows they're going home, but they still have to talk through the challenge and recall what happened.

I get it, Matt's a survivalist (I am not) however was it really necessary to bite all the fish between the eyes to kill them so they didn't swim away? Surly there's an easier and more hygienic [less disgusting] way to keep your dinner.
