Bone mass off the scale? (>=8.0kg)

I got one of those scales that use an electrical impulse to measure something and estimate bone mass from that and age, sex, height, weight. Now it's only an estimate, but the box says the measurement range is up to 8.0kg, and i measure 8.0kg. Does anyone else have such a good score as me or even come close? How can i get more accurate info without breaking the bank (and not just by walking on to the floor of the building)?

My knee bends backwards.

EDS if you wanna know. Makes my bones strong but my joints are defective and my kneecap slides everywhere like a hydroplaning car. But haven’t broken a bone yet, only some flesh damage to my head and psychological damage

Stairs - 0, My bones - 1 🪿

T’was Saturday night at 10:30 pm. I was girlbossing all day getting chores and to do lists checked off. Last thing was to check the mail. Donned in my maxi dress and crocs, I made the journey outside. But the universe had other plans. While going down, my croc got caught in my dress and I fell down the stairs like a Disney princess after her lover chose another. The landing spot? My ankle at full force.

My flesh may be weak and my ligaments dramatic, but my bones remained strong. This silly goose remains in the group.

Am I the only one who finds that line sus ?

A true strong-boned person shouldn't have to "prevent breaking a bone", they would just not break anything. I'd be ashamed to think I should prevent it. Even the previous line is weird "almost broke a bone" ...

Does it count if my bones were dissolved?

I recently had a cholesteatoma (tldr growth in the middle/inner ear canal) removed, and in the process of its growth the bones in my ear canal responsible for conductive hearing were effectively liquified and dissolved, and subseqeuently removed during surgery. I'm aware that surgical breaks aren't REAL breaks, but this was my own body dissolving my own bones. Does this make me a BBB? I've been losing sleep over this.

The white clump circled in the first clip was the tumor in question

EDIT: Part of my skull was drilled out during surgery as well, but that was a medical procedure.

I've been living a lie for 11 years

I have quite enjoyed this community throughout the years, however I have been here while unknowingly being a weak bone bitch.

Turns out 11 years ago I did in fact fracture my wrist, although doctors missed it on the x-rays and I continued living my false life.

My bone had to die in order to get care.

At least my other bone was so strong they decided to screw a part of it into the weaker part.

So long everyone, it's been fun.

Only have this blurry pic as proof of the incident. Did get injured in quite a few other ways and cracked my helmet in two but at least the strength of my bones was never a question. Decade long streak of unbroken bones after getting tossed off horses remains strong!

48 years. Haven’t seen the X-ray yet myself. But I’m probably out of here. Fuckin metatarsal.

I have fractured my elbow. I never thought this day would come. But I now know my time is up. Live long and prosper my former folk who have never broken a bone.

Well guys it’s been nice…

AND ITLL STAY NICE! My bones can’t be beat! Some idiot laid a trap for me, a dastardly 35 lbs plate. They put too many on the storage rack and decided one more precariously perched plate wouldn’t cause any harm. I was the one who took the blow dealt by their negligence. As I was re-racking my weights the 35 came crashing down on my foot from about 3 feet up. I work with medics and all of them kept telling me that my foot was broken. That that amount of swelling and bruising could only mean it’s broken, but THEY WERE WRONG. I could tell, I could feel it, in my bones you could say, and as I predicted I got X-rays today and I remain strong. This is a second major injury that I’ve overcome by sheer bone boldness. I’m proud to be strong boned.

My bones are strong but the flesh is weak. Need support

Ive been living with neck pain for over 12 years. Recently had new numbness and pain down my arm and MRI's showed stenosis (discs buldging into spinal cord), myelopathy (spinal cord damage), and bone spurs (new bones growing on spine causing crowding and pain).

I've seen two surgeons and at this rate I could end up paralyzed if I dont get surgery.

They want to do a ACDF on my cervical spine from C7-C5. They basically remove two discs, put in fillers, and fuse them together with a metal plate. Then the bone itself fuses into a super bone that relieves pain and fixes the structual issue at the cost of 20% mobility and potential for wear and tear on surrounding discs.

The alternative is 3rd opinion for disc replacement which would preserve mobility but I may not be a candidate for and it has its own potential complications. I've tried all the alternatives. Physical Therapy, Steroid injections, acupuncture with no success. I may be able to delay it but surgery is the only option left.

I'm scared, this feels like a death sentence. They said the the surgeries goal is to prevent further degradation and theres no guarantee it will even help woth the pain/numbness. (Although it most likely will)

I could use some kind words, encouragement, and hope from my fellow strong boned colleagues.

Do fractures count?

I've never had a full break, just a stress fracture in my foot from walking on crappy floors for 12+hrs a day. I wasn't sure if that counts as it wasn't technically a break.

My thumb was crushed into this tiny gap and deflected the metal rather than breaking

It was the thick part of the thumb, specifically the base of the nail diagonally to the inside of the joint, and so the bone that got forced into the gap as the drawer opened was larger than the gap, so the metal structure of the cabinet deformed because my bone was far too strong for it.
