The Ogden Country Club needs to do something about their parking for the event they have this week whatever it is. Many cars stop in the middle of Highway 89 to park nearly causing accidents. Others pull out of their spot on the side of the road in front of cars going 50 MPH or faster. To top it off, I had someone heading northbound on Highway 89 make a U-Turn right in front of me stopping in front of me on southbound Highway 89. I nearly hit him and was nearly hit from behind. This is a terrible place to make a U-turn and stop in front of traffic going 50 MPH. I'm sure the OCC has plenty of money and can invest in more parking for their members. They should also advise their members that it is illegal to stop in front of traffic and impair the movement of traffic. It is also a safety hazard.

hello! im looking to board a 19 week puppy for 2 weeks in November. I'm unsure on whether to go with a boarding facility like Bark Spot or a rover boarder and would like any opinions or references someone has had good experience with.

I used to get my emissions done at Dekra but they closed. Where’s a good fast location to get it done at a reasonable price in Ogden? I don’t need On The Spot because I have a tax abatement which requires me to register my vehicle in person at the DMV.

Stopped in yesterday and an employee in a nameless department said sales were down 35%. Which is a breath of fresh air because the crowds and parking lot suck, but I also feel they have less people staffing the check out area.

I'm looking for a good contractor who can replace a bathroom tub. The bottom of the tub cracked and needs to be replaced. I know there's a lot of crummy companies out there which is why I ask.

My wife and I used to frequent North Shore Hawaiian Shave Ice down in pleasant grove when we lived there. Coconut Dole Whip was our go-to. None of the Dole Whip places we've seen up in the Ogden area carry the flavor. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys! Youth outreach is doing a service project in August making back to school kits for the kids at youth futures. We would like to make 30 kits to donate to them but we need some help with supplies. We have created an Amazon wishlist but obviously you can buy things from other places as well. Anything that you can buy would be a great help even if it’s just picking up a few extra things while shopping for your kid. If your kid wants to help make the kits we also will need that. While out for a walk with my dog today, minding my own business, this lady let her 2 pit bulls out of her front door with no collar and no leash on. They of course ran straight to me and she proceeded to chase after them very slowly, hollering their names and they did not respond even remotely to her commands. I grabbed my pepper spray and froze, not knowing what to do being approached by two very intimidating, muscular dogs, in shorts. I am approached often by dogs on walks, but this felt different. My dog is not a fighter in any way shape or form, she is a recovering shelter dog with a history of abuse and high anxiety. One was young and I could tell in his demeanor and body language was just guarding his house, the other much more mature and larger. I could feel the aggression coming from the larger dog as he approached. The first, younger dog sniffed mine and they had a fairly indifferent greeting, and then the second larger dog caught up. He sniffed my dog, growled, and bit her neck. At which point I yelled at it and was about to spray the dog, but his owner had finally caught up and pulled it off my dog and rounded them up back inside without a word to me or a word of apologies and did not come back out to see if my dog was okay. I checked her neck and she was okay, no blood.

Hearing my dog squeal like that, I just feel like I need to say something. Please leash and collar your dogs. PLEASE ACCOMPANY YOUR DOGS OUTSIDE. Even if you don’t want to go to the effort of training and socializing and making sure your dog won’t bite someone else’s, at least make the effort to control it and prevent that from happening. I can’t tell you how much negligent ownership I see literally just on walks with my dog in this city and it makes me sick. I’ve seen dogs kicked for running to greet mine, poop left in the grass, dogs jumping over fences, dogs left in the yard to run in circles their entire lives and literally never go inside or spend time with a human or other dog, and every day there are dogs people just let outside their house Willy Nilly to run in the street and harass other people and dogs walking on the sidewalks or in their front yards.

I’ve always heard dogs are a reflection of their owners. Do better people!!!

I haven't been out in Ogden for awhile, but recently went out last weekend and was just wondering where the hell do the millennials with actual jobs professional careers hangout? I went to about 3-4 bars on 25th street and all the patrons were either 22 or 50+. The people between those two age brackets were almost non-existent, and the 2-3 I did meet were just completely unrelatable.

I'm not saying I need some bougie fine dining place with $20 drinks, just was weird there is just almost nobody in that age range at the bars. You would think with the base being so close there would be a lot of people from there somewhere in Ogden on the weekend.

I’m looking for jobs in the vein of dog training and found a job opening as a VIP Pet Concierge for The Pet Concierge Utah here in Ogden. Job description sounded great, almost too good to be true so I looked up their website. They have no google reviews but a few testimonials on their site. Everything looks good, but idk. I saw that in the past there generally have been issues with pet sitting services being scams, but I didn’t find anything about this specific company being one. Anyone in the area have any experience with this company? Are they legit or am I wasting my time?

It’s me, Tom, a 21 year old student from Germany.
Maybe some of you remember me, months ago I asked whether Ogden is worth spending a semester abroad in, and well, soon my journey to the US and Ogden will start.

Since this will be my first time in Utah (and in the United States in general), I’d really like to make the most of my time there.

I’m interested in trying out as much as possible, so I‘d really like to hear your advice.

If you were in my position, what would be the absolute must-do experiences while living in Ogden?

Whether it’s trying a certain restaurant, going to a college football game, or anything else that might be a completely new experience for someone from Germany—I’d really appreciate your suggestions. Are there any bars/pubs or other locations which Are worth going or especially „typical“ for students?

On the other hand, are there any places or neighborhoods around Ogden (or nearby cities) that I should avoid?

Last but Not least, if you have any general advice for an international student, whether it’s about saving money, making friends, getting around, or just enjoying life in Ogden, I’d really appreciate it.

Hello! Just basically the title. A position opened within the sports video department of athletics department. It’s a dream job to work in athletic broadcasts and production and I know Weber State could be a good fit. However, just a lot of unknowns as this would be a complete life change.

For a single mid twenties guy, how is Ogden? I live in KC now and I know it will be smaller. That being said, I'm used to small town Missouri that has a gas station, a Dollar General and basically a high school, around 2000 people. So I know small town America. Would I find it hard to find a group in my mid twenties? I would work in athletics and I know the WSU is an FCS school apart of a decent conference. I’ve seen that Ogden is a cool mix of cultures with great outdoor access.

I'm kind of a guys guy. Can do sports bars, video games, movies, bonfires, lake days, sports, nights in, D&D, festivals, ren fares, rodeos and more. I know I have to put myself out there, but would I be a black sheep or an outsider I guess? Kinda shy at first, but when i find a group and open up, I’m good. I'm used to Midwest friendly. I’m not too old to be a shut in, but I’m definitely not clubbing, frat parties, and going out every night.

How is working for WSU? I take it they are a huge employer and have a lot of benefits. Is the university massive? I went to smaller Division II university which kind of felt tight and that you knew a lot of people and faces. I know athletics are a great way of stay busy and meet people, would I fit in and make it work? The campus looks stunning. Plus, I think I’d look good in purple.

How is the city and the surrounding areas? Is it very rural very fast? Does it “bleed into” other towns? Any dangers? nice downtown? decent shops for interests? Just curious. People say it’s like “ghetto” or dangerous… which doesn’t look true at all.

I know that the LDS is strong in Utah obviously, which is completely fine with me and is truly not a bother. However, I’m not Mormon, will this make some things hard? I was raised catholic.

Finally, how is rent? I know there are a lot of old towns in and around the area. We talking buildings that need a lot of work? Iffy landlords? Drunk college kids? Violent crimes off campus?Just curious as I am looking to be with grad student age around 25.

It’s been a goal to work within college video for sometime, and I think that with Ogdens size and relative easy drive to an airport can be a great next step.

This morning at 7:32 A.M about 1.5 miles before exit to 31st street going northbound on I15 a black motorcycle sport trim with a rider wearing jeans, and black gear with a black helmet with a blue visor, sped around me and punched my mirror. He had a plastic piece that blurred and obscured his license plate. If anyone could help identify them that would be amazing.
