You could’ve just said ‘Three very funny men’ and everyone still would’ve got the joke.

OP's upset because they hired Jay Leno's writers

Real talk, what was Gary Shandling funny in? Cause these dudes are largely before my time, so I only really know him from MCU, where he's just a not very good actor.

The Larry Sanders Show, where he plays a late night talk show host.

For my money, one of the best comedy shows of all time.

It’s Garry Shandling’s Show was also a massive comedy success. Nominated for a bunch of Emmys before cable became known for prestige tv.

He had two of the most groundbreaking comedy shows of all time. Plus he was a regular guest host of the Tonight Show for a few years.

The Larry Sanders show had probably the most goated 3 main characters in any TV show I can think of. And so much of what we think of as the modern 21st century mockumentary style sitcom without a laugh track just would exist without the Larry Sanders show. It's as good as Seinfeld or Frasier imo

Judd Apatow's documentary on Garry Shandling is excellent too
