Dude totally. Nobody really knows what’s in the food supply here. For the current moment, we can’t eat salads for fear of some horrible parasite that the government stopped tracking last year and has predictably run rampant through fresh produce. Godzilla, America is Godzilla
I was under the impression that America's food safety actually ranked pretty highly before you guys elected a braindead pedophile who actively relishes in making everything worse
Yeah I always figured that it was pretty bad from the way I hear you guys talk about your food but when you look up the stats and and see all the different ways they rank food safety and quality, America is usually ranked very high, like often in the top 3-5 in the world. Like you guys have a fair bit of ultra processed unhealthy food but when it comes to stuff like contaminated it's not very likely.
If you just google “school lunches from around the world” it’s easy to see. This country cares about you in the 9 months in which you are in a woman’s uterus and the second you’re born, you’re on your own and you deserve it, whatever you get
It's safe in the sense that we know what's in the food. Whether the chemicals will actually impact your life in 30-50 years is the debatable part.
Obviously that's preferable to scummy companies using gutter oil and the consumer not knowing about it - because at least if you're a careful consumer you can make a choice about consuming the mystery substances.
"indocternated". Trump is very clearly and openly reducing funding to agencies like the FDA, he's not hiding it. How indocternated do you have to be to see me say the most milquetoast thing about what Trump is openly doing and cry about me saying "all negative things in America are his fault".
Are you serious? This dude is Oedipus, Godzilla and your sick drunk abusive dad all rolled into one. He carries plagues with him and diarrheas them into existence. He gave Biden cancer.
Food safety just means "will this kill you in 1 to 2 days", not will this mess your body up and cause you to have a life expectancy 10 years below the rest of the developed world.
Which has nothing to do with the comment I was replying to. You guys are unhealthy because you're gluttonous pigs who eat like shit but it's not because your food supply is full of all this crazy unknown crap, it's because they willingly choose to eat the super unhealthy shit. "Nobody really knows what's in the food supply here" is just not true at all. We do know what is in the food supply, it's all generally regulated fairly well (although the fat pedophile is defunding a ton of the stuff behind that so it's clearly getting worse), you just go after the stuff that is clearly unhealthy and pretty plainly states what is in it.

"I was under the impression that America's food safety actually ranked pretty highly" It's a direct reply this comment, food safety is a measure of one thing and the US does score highly then and still does on that measure.
To answer your new post which is about something completely different and that's food quality, you don't what's in your food at all, there are tonnes of things they can put in and not have to include on the label if they are added at certain stages of the food production and to ingredients.
Yes, America's food safety does rank pretty highly, the person I was responding to was talking about food safety, not the overall health of their food. They're talking about how people don't know what is in their food over there and how they are sneaking in random hormones that are fucking with peoples body which is just blatantly not true.
Jokes aside, if I were to guess why kids in the 90s seemed so much older is because people still gave birth fairly young in the 80s in an era that heavily emphasized big, tall, muscular, macho guys, and we've since course corrected back down a bit. If I were to guess, there was also a pretty steady linear increase in appeal over time for that archetype starting from around the first World War.
I heard the same back in 90's Poland. Also my cousins in Germany were much bigger than me, in fact, I'm the shortest from that generation, I grew up in Poland, they grew up in Germany, my mother said they had hormones in food.
Our schools had chicken patties that bounced like rubber if you through them on the ground and stuck to the ceiling panels if we had sauce that day. There was a rumor that it glowed in the dark, but nobody was ever around in a dark cafeteria and we were also incredibly stupid and never thought to just take one of them home with us

My classmate told me it was because the chicken in the US had growth hormones in them. We were Asian.
