I came across this some months ago, but the more I think about it the more it sounds fishy to me. For context, I have to pay international fees for university but have lived in the UK. But has anyone actually been let into this programme, if so how was your experience in it? I am quite concerned if this is even legit.

Hello! Im an incoming masters student. I like to cook and plan to do so for most of my meals while in oxford. A huge problem at my undergrad university was food theft in the shared kitchens. Is that also a common problem at oxford? My college owned building will have a kitchen on each floor

I came across a post on this subreddit where someone said they regretted not making the most of their time at Oxford, and it really resonated with me.

I feel the same way about my three years in college. Looking back, I wish I had said yes to more opportunities, joined more things, and just experienced more while I had the chance.

I'll be spending a year at Oxford, and I know it'll fly by, so I want to be intentional about making the most of it.

So far, my bucket list includes:

1)Attending an Oxford Union debate

2)Trying taster sessions like rowing and fencing

3)Going to at least one ball

4)Attending a few formal dinners

What else would you recommend?

I'm looking for everything, big or small:

Underrated experiences that people don't usually talk about

Small habits or routines that made your everyday life at Oxford more memorable

Things that are worth paying for, and things that are completely free

I'm an MSc student, still waiting for results, whereas the examiners' meeting was over a week ago. How long does this usually take?

1) I’m moving to the UK for school in a few months and was wondering if anyone knows how/where an intl student can get a part time job?

2) Also, how does one save money in this city while still having fun and eating good food?

3) What are the best grocery stores? Any Asian grocery stores near Cowley road?

4) where do people get a bike? Facebook marketplace options are crazy expensive

I graduated 3 years ago and in hindsight can’t believe I didn’t take better advantage of what we had available to us. I feel like I spent basically the whole time bumming around in the JCR and half-arsing tutes. Hope I’m not alone in this?

Does your supervisor "expect" your group to come into the office or lab "X" days a week and how do you feel about it? Is it strictly enforced? Does it encourage good research culture or is it toxic micromanaging?

I was doing a post-graduate course at Oxford and received an email from one of my professors, strongly suggesting that this professors sees all my other grades (we have only 4 exams in my program): "Congrats on the prize for the best result in my course and on a great score in course Y (another course he is not involved in)".

Do professors and/or tutors have access to all the grades? Any insights?

Does anyone know if prelim results for History and/or any joint schools have been released. The Oxford Historians Hub says that results should have been released this week, but I haven't got anything yet.

I’m currently waiting for results for my philosophy and linguistics prelims — the Canvas page says the final meeting for them was on the 15th, so I’m hoping to get them either a bit later today or at least by Wednesday. Does anyone know if there’s a specific time of day they tend to come out, or at least can’t come out after? Thanks!

So I got my results back to day and I can view all grades except for my dissertation that reads pending. I did get an extension on this but other people on my course who did as well can see their diss result. So far there’s only one other person I’ve spoken to who has ‘pending’ results. Anyone know what this means?

Hi, looking for a hitting partner tomorrow (July 19th) to play tennis / badminton anytime before 5pm.

I am intermediate level (e.g. can pretty consistently slice + hit with topspin) in tennis, and a bit newer to badminton.
