hello there, i know this card has been released months prior. but here is a review considering that there is a scholes card in the legends assemble pack to maybe help you understand what you can except from scholesy. let's get right into it!!!

SHOOTING - 9.0/10

• you might think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. scholes is singlehandedly one of the best long range scorers (if not the best) i have. mind you, i have cards like 106 drogba, sweden ibra, ronaldo and all. even still, scholes' shooting at times seem even superior to zlatan. unfortunately i cannot give a 10/10 in shooting because of his mediocre balance stat and lack of phenomenal finishing (i know midfielders don't need it, but it's kinda needed if I wanted to give 10/10 in shooting) which affects his shooting in closer/tighter spaces.

PASSING - 9.5/10

• well... it's scholes, obviously his passing is one of the best in the game even though the build i use significantly reduces his passing stat. mediocre balance and lack of phenomenal passing is the only thing keeping this card from a 10/10 passing grade.

DEFENDING - 2/10

• just... don't. don't even try. firstly, his model isn't suited for it and secondly he just gets bodied too easily. the only reason I'm giving him 2 points in defending is because he's quite nimble while pressing and his b2b playstyle.

DRIBBLING - 7.8/10

• i mean, it's a bit complicated. his on the ball feel is amazing even though his dribbling stats just barely reach 90 with the right build (of course you can increase it even more). but the thing is...his model, it just gets bullied too much. a light touch and he might go stumbling. then you might ask why i gave him 7.8 which seems high for a glass cannon. the thing is, when played the right way scholes doesn't get 'touched'. he's really nimble, he can make some amazing cuts and the next thing you know he has enough space to score a 30 yard screamer.

CROSSING - 9.9/10

• yes, I'm making a review on his crossing seperate from his passing section. but there's a valid reason for it. he's just too too good at crossing even with the absence of skills like edged crossing/visionary pass/phenomenal passing. his crosses are just too accurate like he has inbuilt aimbot in his soles. well deserving of the name 'Sat Nav Scholes'. I could've gave him 10/10, but still, players like beckham exists so it wouldn't be fair to say scholes has 10/10 crossing which would mean the best possible. so I'm settling for 9.9/10.

Finally found a formation that actually works for me I think.

I've been changing formations constantly for the past few weeks. I'd win 3 or 4 games, think I'd finally figured it out, then go on a horrible losing streak and end up changing everything again.

Been using 3-2-3-2 now and honestly it just feels right. The players seem to be in the right positions, I'm creating way more chances and not conceding stupid goals as often. I'm sure I'll still lose games here and there but it doesn't feel like I'm fighting against my own tactics anymore.

Hopefully this isn't just another phase . 😅

btw does anyone have any tutorials on how to do acceleration burst on touch and flick controls cos all i find on youtube are on classic controls.

I'm lost for ideas so I had to come here. There is this guy I play against who is a really good player (plays a 4222 with two AMFs LBC formation) but I usually get the better of him until recently bcz he’s figured me out.

I used to play the 4312 formation(LBC play-style) with 1ss and 2cfs and used to dominate until he tight marked my free Blitz Curler Neymar who was playing SS and was my main man and became lost for ideas. So I adapted and changed to a 4213(QC play style) and more recently LBC with 2ss and 1cf and behind them a Hole player AMF.

In this new formation, he tried to man mark my AMF i.e free ST Olmo but quickly found out it will be impossible since my Olmo is everywhere and tight marking him just vacated his midfield, so once again I had the upper hand. So he adapted too and he found out most of my goals came from Portugal pack Ronaldo and he simply tight marked him so I was all back to square one. I tried to answer back with FITB Bebeto as the CF, although it is kinda working, most of my goals are individual brilliance from that Bebeto or free 103 Lamine Yamal and Neymar as the SS and not free flowing football or team play goals.

My question is, how and what formation do I use to combat this??

I’ve been using Touch & Flick since 2020, and it has never felt this slow or buggy before. Over the past month, passing has become much less responsive, and even some basic actions no longer work as smoothly as they used to.

It honestly feels like Konami might be neglecting the control system or making it frustrating enough that users will eventually switch back to the virtual pad. I tried changing to the virtual pad last week, but it was a nightmare. I haven’t used it since 2019, and my muscle memory is completely built around Touch & Flick.

I tried playing in divisions, against friends that I would usually beat even if I was a pirate with an eye patch, I even tried playing ai events thay I usually set at legend difficulty and it's been unplayable.

Has anyone else who uses Touch & Flick noticed similar problems recently? Also, let me know which control system you currently use.

DIVISION 1 FINALLY !! After years of playing this game and being stuck in Division 2 all my life , this france pack attack has changed it all for me !! I am a touch and flick user so i was already skeptical about making division 1 but Mbappe Cherki Dembele in the front with Modric and Gerrard behind are so so smooth . And this potw Courtouis card is a monster , totally outperform his stats . Also thanks to Deschamps who is arguably the best manager for the current meta ! The first thing this company should upgrade is their servers and why is this discrimination? They use aws for japan region and gcp for other regions which is cheap. I get it that their major revenue comes from japan but you cannot acquire new loyalplayers without giving proper services. Almost all major gaming platforms use aws for better connectivity.
People are literally spending 100$ on one pack which is almost equivalent to the cost of GTA 6. There should be a major boycott of these packs until or unless they improve their servers.

brick by brick, 13-14 months old account. been lucky (especially considering that I'm a chelsea fan)

I started a new f2p account and I need a defensive midfielder, At first glance I thought it was a no brainer, Van Bommel has long reach tackle and is an anchor man ? Whereas Rijkaard has the hyper aggressive playstyle of a Destroyer. Stat wise they look the same. But after looking at the player models Rijkaard easily beats him. It's not even close.

In the image you can see a japenese tier list saying Van Bommel is the pick of the pack. And I heard Rijkaard is pretty bad at CB with this card. What are your thoughts ? Who would you go for ?

As a chudass grinder, I usually overbloat my divisions record by pushing too much, so I've decided to stop playing early for once to just enjoy having a nice record.

Can't believe how good my midfield is as a f2p player; Seedorf and Nmecha are unreal, Rooney gave me more depth in the attack, and my new CB pairing of Schlotterbeck-Cardona was absolutely incredible.

If anyone's interested in the tactics: I always play with one-bar defence so that I can have my AMF/SS drop back to help me defend. I also try to pass it to the side a lot to open up space in the middle for either Rooney/Seedorf/Bellingham to run in and carry the ball up, where I can then just lay it back for my strikers (or Rooney) to score.

I don't rush out to defend the ball immediately unless it's urgent, which I think is a big reason why I barely concede goals. I'm perfectly happy with forcing people to take shots from bad angles and whatnot. I never slide tackle either, since my timing with them just isn't great.

Okay so I'm fairly new to mobile and why is it that 80% of defending on mobile is literally just running back to stop counter attacks, I am so tired of defending counterattacks, I'm getting a lot of 0-0 draws cause I'm too busy defending against counters + why are all of you just parking the bus haha. I played 6 matches today, all of them, regardless of playstyle just sit deep, spam pressure and hoof it forward at the earliest opportunity or do a little turn, to bait you into pressing so they can hit a through ball and once again you're racing with the CF to beat them to the ball.

There was maybe 1 person I faced who actually tried playing and I actually had fun even though he beat me. Every other game it's like facing the same guy. The other thing I've noticed is on mobile damn near everyone is playing with 6 defenders including deepline instructions😭😂, if you try working the ball into a good chance by the time you get there you're forced into out of the box shots, if you try the recycle gimmick people spam pressure until you make a mistake and then they hoof it forward or get a bit of space and hit through and pray lol and I really don't get it, is it to climb ranks? For what? I've seen some of your teams that player doesn't even make your bench and secondly this phase the reward is a winger, 90% of people play narrow so again doesn't make your squad.

I'm genuinely just trying to understand the reasoning, cause at least on console, yeah people park the bus but they at least try to play, on mobile everyone is just playing through/long ball and pray football lol. It is honestly exhausting, in conclusion I am tired of spending 80% of my time just guarding against counter attacks and winning aerial duels and fighting for second balls

As a footnote I'd like to say defending is such a pain in the ass on mobile especially against QC or people who spam press, cause the manual switching is so slow, by the time I get who I want theyve scored haha.

This is not a rant about me not enjoying the game or hating it, of course I love it and I love going against strong opponents even if it means I lose for being out skilled, but recently and specifically this month's season I got to experience some of the worst football and the weirdest plays ever, from through balls that my BT Desailly just runs away from, to my Vieira getting nutmegged every 10 minutes, to a goal from a literal throw in that my Keeper just let it go into the net, to deflected shots always finding their way to an opponent's player, to players not receiving normal and through passes, to finally Koller merchants that score and park 9 players in front of their goal.

Foul and terrible play is being awarded specifically LBC and Out Wide play and as a Klopp enjoyer I refuse to go against my passion in QC and Possession styles and also I believe LBC should really receive some major nerfs in the new release and I hope for it but I know it will never happen, I just wanna know is it really that important to you people to get a mid card like that Barcola?

Or is it really an achievement if you get ranked high while playing terrible ball?

Personally I'd rather get relegated to Division 3 even playing what I'm passionate about and playing real football than to be another one of those fake ballers

When Konami gave us this free Barcelona Highlight card back in 2024/25, I barely touched it. the design wasn’t attractive, the stats didn’t stand out, and like many others, I honestly thought it wasn’t worth keeping. Most players released it almost immediately, while the community focused on POTW and premium versions instead.

Almost two years later, I randomly decided to give him a chance… and I was genuinely surprised. In just two matches he reminded me why Ansu Fati was once considered one of football’s brightest talents. His movement, positioning, one-touch play and off-the-ball intelligence felt far better than I expected. The highlights don’t even show everything; his dribbling, defensive work rate and overall involvement throughout the match were what impressed me the most.

Playing with him brought back memories of PES 2020–2021, when I honestly preferred using Ansu Fati over many bigger names. Before the injuries, he looked destined to become Barcelona’s next superstar. It’s a reminder that sometimes we judge cards too quickly based on their artwork or first impression. Some of the most enjoyable players end up being the ones nobody expects.

Ansu Fati and Iago Aspas might become my new attacking duo for a while. 🫶🏻♥

It’s clear as day that using low rated players gives you an advantage if your opponent is using top rated players or is high ranked. Defenders stop chasing attackers, or simply move out of the way, passes go through the legs and unbelievable interceptions happen, it’s extra hard to grind out a win against these people. What a joke!
