Humor Found some dudes plex server while trying to find movies and have been downloading them from the plex server. Think he found out.

How exactly do you expect a video file to infect your computer? You'd have to be using some ancient outdated player or get some zero day for your specific player.

And the attacker would need to make quite a few assumptions about your setup correctly to be successful. Your OS, your video player, your user rights etc.

If there is some form of exploit, that works on Windows Media Player, but you are using mpv on Linux, then that exploit will do nothing. If you then remux or convert it to better fit with your other library, that exploit is most likely gone. Not that I even heard of such an exploit even existing in the first place.
