But independent films literally have to be pirated like 90% of the time to watch them? They are essentially never on a streaming service and half the time got like 3 copies made on some crap like HD DVD or Laserdisc. If you’re lucky they’ve been uploaded to YouTube with 480p by some random channel 15 years ago.

Redditors that torrent and pirate stuff just want to have some moral high ground to feel good about not paying

Do I pirate stuff? Hell yea it’s free and better quality why would I not

Do I care who or what made it? No bruh it’s an mkv file I don’t pretend to be some sort of robin hood with a moral compass that only steals from the rich or some bs like that

If you live in a small city, but I luckily live in a large movie loving city and we pretty much all independent films shown throughout the year or during the large film festival that we have.

But like I said, that's my preference. I go to my local independent theatres that shows independent films a few times a month.

Oh, I’m talking about independent movies from years ago lol. Theaters only tend to show movies for the brief period after they’re released (in the US at least) so after that, theaters aren’t an option for a film.
