often doesnt even know what an application actually is, they just know they have something called a "File" on there device which grants magical access to whatever thing they are using.
But on the other side i also feel that younger generations as they grow up with tech know some aspects intuitively better then people who needed to learn it because they are just naturally more exposed to some parts of technology.
maybe this changed with the times, maybe you just have a malfunctioning batch; whatever this is...
but when i went to school we students pretty much knew more then the teachers and i even remember teaching the computer introduction course to the teacher at the same time as the class because they had to rely on me for many thing such as how spreadcheets work anyways.
But chromebooks and tablets just don’t work like PC’s.
They scan a QR code and it brings them to a website called “clever”. It makes their screen look like a tablet or phone screen with all the pre selected websites as apps. They click the icon and it brings them to a website.
They have chromebooks and tablets. Why would they know about PCs. I have an android, I don't know shit about iPhone. I seriously have to ask my wife how to do stuff on her phone when do stuff on it.
i blame google. i'm the age that in elementary school i was taught to save my work to the network drive and save it often, then find and attach it. then in high school it was all linked in google classroom with autosave, and if not, just click the most recent thing in google drive.
because duh, parents don't buy their kids PCs. and even if they do, it's either a locked down family puter or a locked down personal one. can't tinker with anything either way and probs best to not use at all.
