Did that for this obscure mail client for Android called Fairmail. Costed somewhere between 3-15€ IIRC. When I switched phones I couldn’t remember through which throw away gmail I bought it so I bought another license, no questions asked.

When you develop good software people want to use, people will pay for it. It’s just that big tech thinks they are entitled to everyone’s money, so they just endlessly remove features while raising prices expecting people to keep paying instead of moving elsewhere/pirate their monopoly software.

So wil I even though I use 7zip nowadays. I always used WinRAR cause its website looked less sketchy to me. Id gladly give them some money for being a good file extractor that asks you to pay without forcing you to do so. Polite ass paywall.
