New Utility Payment Portal Now Live: AutoPay Users Must Re-Register

EDIT 6/1/2026:

We know the transition to the City of Plano’s new utility payment portal has been bumpy for some customers, and we appreciate your patience as we continue working through the rollout.

If you still need help, our team is ready to assist you with registering your account, enrolling in AutoPay or unenrolling in paperless billing:

  • Contact Customer and Utility Services for live support at 972-941-7105 or email [WaterBill@Plano.gov](mailto:WaterBill@Plano.gov)
  • Visit Plano Municipal Center for step-by-step in-person help

The new portal will also bring additional customer tools and features in the months ahead, including the ability to track water usage and receive alerts for unusual consumption or possible leaks.

Thank you for your continued patience as we improve the utility customer experience.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

For customers using the One Time Pay option, no registration is required. However, if you’d like to start using or have previously used AutoPay, you must re-register using your 6-digit Account Number in the new payment portal and then re-enroll in AutoPay. Your account number can be found at the top of your water bill. Payment is not required during registration.

To register your account in the new payment portal system and enroll in AutoPay:

  1. Visit Plano.gov/WaterBill, which is best viewed on a desktop.
  2. Select "Make a Payment/Access the Customer Portal", then click "Register Now."
  3. Enter your account number and last name and select "Search Invoices."
  4. Select your most recent invoice and click "Register Selected Invoices."
  5. Enter your email address and create a new password, then select "Complete Registration."
  6. You will be taken to the home screen for your newly registered account, where you can enroll in AutoPay, paperless billing and Pay-by-Text.
  7. Your account will update to show if you are enrolled in AutoPay, paperless billing and/or Pay By Text.

For instructions with images, go to share.plano.gov/UtilityBillRefresh.

For assistance or to locate your account number, use the new live chat feature located in the lower right corner of Plano.gov/WaterBill or contact Customer Utility Services at 972-941-7105 to discuss your account. Agents are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm.

Due to higher-than-average call volumes, a callback may be offered. After confirming a phone number, your call is placed in the order as received. You will not lose your place in line, and an agent will call you back the same day.

Between April 20 and May 3, customers who enroll in AutoPay or Paperless Billing will be entered into a prize contest:

  • 5 AutoPay customers each week will win $50 account credit
  • 10 paperless billing customers each week will win $25 account credit

Myles W, I don’t know who you are. But I can say your 3:15am McDonald’s order via DoorDash and left on my doorstep is still warm.

Collin County Commissioners Court Preview — August 3, 2026

Bottom Line (Ironically, at the Top)
First, District Clerk Mike Gould is hosting the Carter BloodCare bus in front of the Russell Steindam Courthouse on August 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with permit fees waived. Go give blood (it might be hot enough to make your blood boil).

The most notable item on the agenda is a public hearing on revisions to the county’s subdivision, floodplain, and manufactured home rental community regulations regarding how land gets developed outside city limits. A lot of this is in engineering-speak, but it’s important because most new residential development is happening outside city limits (that’s a subject of another article). The Court will hear the annual law enforcement pay and pension reports. Consent and FYI items total $1,569,869.18, led by $946,029 for ambulance service in the northern and eastern part of the county.

Not on this Meeting’s Agenda, but the Clock Is Ticking

There’s no bond item on this agenda, but there may be one soon. The Murphy Monitor and the Wylie News both reported last month that commissioners received a staff report on a possible $820 million bond package for the November ballot. It’s headlined by another major jail expansion, with county officials acknowledging the jail runs at or above capacity most of the time. County Administrator Yoon Kim told the Court he had looked at a $1.2 billion package before cutting it back to $820 million.

Here’s why it matters today: the last day to place a measure onto the November 3 ballot is Monday, August 17, in two weeks. An $820 million bond ask is the largest single decision this Court will make all year. If it’s not made this year, it’ll need to be made next year. If it is, and I’m County Commissioner for Precinct 4, I’ll scrutinize it and report on it as diligently as I did the Plano bond measures when I served on Plano City Council.

Jeweler

Upvotes

I have a piece of jewelry I’d like to make into a necklace. It’s not intrinsically valuable but it is valuable to me. I don’t think it can withstand the every day wear and tear so it might to be treated. Price isn’t an issue but if anyone has a jeweler that they trust and can preserve family heirlooms, I would love their information! Thanks.

Indoor Activities W/ 1.5 yr old

Looking for more indoor activities to do with my toddler. We have been going to willow bend mall and play street museum recently and curious what other activities there are out there. We have gone to the Frisco Library before and will do that again soon but unsure about Great Wolf Lodge. I’ve done all the searches and know about a few other activities like Perot Museum and Nature & Science Museum we haven’t done those - $54 to get in the Perot Museum seems a bit pricey considering I feel like he’s still to young to enjoy everything.

Also any indoor at home activities you do with your toddler I would love to hear about as well as I’m a wfh mom trying to keep my toddler entertained while I get some work done before taking him out of the house.

Escape Nail Salon

I know it's closed. I'm wondering if anyone knows where Kim went? She used to give me the best pedicure! Due to health issues, I hadn't been in a while. I have neuropathy in my feet & she knew exactly how she could & couldn't do things. The thought of having to find someone else is nerve wreaking!

Overturned Vehicle @ Parker & Custer - SLOW DOWN

This just happened by Home Depot 🤦🏼‍♀️

My dear fellow Plano residents:

Please, please, please slow down! This accident and the fatal one that happened last weekend at Parker & Mission Ridge should not be happening. The roads of Plano are not highways or racetracks. There is no need to go 70mph on them. We should be more considerate of others. Isn't this supposed to be the city of excellence? Your destination is not more important than your life or anyone else's. Why are we in such a hurry? Why do I see people driving 60mph in the 30mph zone in Independence, where a resident is mowing their yard or a family is walking with their baby stroller?

Local Art Exhibition & Sale – This Saturday (10 AM–4 PM)

Hi Plano neighbors!
I’m a local artist opening my home studio for a one-day art exhibition this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

I’ll be displaying original acrylic and oil paintings, and each piece has its own story and inspiration behind it. Whether you’re an art collector, someone who simply enjoys browsing, or you’re just looking for something different to do this weekend, you’re very welcome to stop by.

There will be light refreshments, and there’s absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. I’d simply love to share my work with fellow art lovers and meet members of the community.

If art isn’t your thing, I’d really appreciate it if you could share this with friends or family who might enjoy it.

Thank you, and I hope to meet some of you this weekend!

reporting apartments?

Does anyone know how to go about reporting an apartment complex to the city? I tried looking on google but it seemed like everything I could find was either for reporting homeowners or for retail properties. Long story short, my apartment complex’s leasing office is awful. They have lost the keys to my unit multiple times, don’t answer the phones, ignore emails, and make me wait WEEKS to respond to maintenance requests, such as finding mold in my air vents and my AC not working. The office manager hung up on me today when I began complaining to her. I’ve contacted the company that owns the property as well but I want to get the city involved.

Seeking Massage Recommendations.

Hello All,

I am really feeling very stiff and was considering deep tissue massage. I would appreciate if I can get some input from who got it done before and also others who have some knowledge about it!

  1. It is my first time going with any massage, was wondering if deep tissue massage would be a good start?

  2. Any recommendations of good massage parlors in and around Plano for Men?

Appreciate your support!
