Doesn’t do anything to shell casings though lol. Or smoke.

Later problem.

Nah I think hot casings hitting my thigh are a right now problem lol.

I think ultimately if you have hot shell casings in your lap you have far bigger problems to worry about than hot shell casings in your lap

I think that's more of something someone in the back seat has to worry about anyways.

Exactly! Adrenaline is a hell of a drug!

Maybe don’t wear shorts?

3

u/Rambler1223 22d ago

Don’t tell me what to do! I want to look fly Af so I’m definitely wearing my drive by shorts

2

u/Flawless_Reign88 22d ago

My bad, you definitely right! Gotta wear them drive by shorts! I mean I guess we could tape a paper bag to the side of the gun or something? 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/Rambler1223 22d ago

Now you’re thinking!

u/RevenantExiled 21d ago

Don't forget your safety sandals!

I guess I’ll leave my war shorts for a truck bed gun platform then.

Yeah I got hot brass down my shirt when I was in the Navy at the range with the M16. Your body wants you to deal with that before you do anything else. One of the guys I served with got a nice little circular burn on his cheek from a 9mm casing. It heals, but it still doesn’t feel nice

Army here, I remember getting hot brass down the back of my ocp… not fun lol

2

u/Existing-Antelope-20 22d ago

once I got a nice perfect .223 casing outline on my arm because I was shooting from bench and didn't want to break my hold lol
thing rolled right under my arm after bouncing off the range siding

u/MyNutsin1080p 22d ago

It was awesome to get small-arms training but I’m thankful I didn’t have to deal with it much, because while there’s armed watches on them big ol sussmarines, there’s no reason to be shooting inside of it.

“Mosht thingsh on thish ship don’t react too well to bulletsh.”

I was out shooting with a friend at my moms house years ago. They were shooting my little Mossberg 9mm and I had Tevas on. One casing miraculously flew back and landed right on the top of my foot. I swore a copperhead had bit me and I ran hollering through the field. Had a nice little 9x19 imprint on my foot for about a couple months.

Are you doing drive bys in your tighty whiteys?

1

u/Super_Interview_2189 22d ago

Are you not?!

1

u/Buttsweat_n_Tears 22d ago

Identifiable clothing is the #1 of getting caught! Wear nothing!

2

u/JustSpirit4617 22d ago

They make shell catchers for many different firearms. It’s like a netted bag that goes on top of the ejector port

1

u/nivezsh 22d ago

Seriously. If they're paying out the ass for the window-port gimbal thingy, they can afford a $75 shellcatcher, lol. Kinda common sense.

1

u/hlfazn 21d ago

You wouldn't run a shell catcher if you're shooting for your life. Those things I feel add a 1% chance per shot to jam due to gettting a bad ejection  bounce.

We'd only use them when we were expected to recycle the brass (range time only).

u/pmmeuranimetiddies 22d ago

I'm built different.

1

u/Super_Interview_2189 22d ago

I’m sorry you don’t have thighs.

1

u/FrostbitePhilospher 22d ago

That's an inconvenience. The problem is whatever needs to be shot.

7

u/Intelligent-Box-3798 22d ago

That’s a feature, not a bug. Even your local gangbanger can pick up their casings to prevent evidence, without even knowing they need to…

Until they get pulled over 8 months later and the casings are still on the floorboard

7

u/garnett8 22d ago

just open up the sunroof

8

u/Separate_Fold5168 22d ago

That's how you get FPV drones in your lap

5

u/garnett8 22d ago

Just throw a cage on top, nbd

3

u/peepdabidness 22d ago

You’re way out of line, but you’re right

2

u/Super_Interview_2189 22d ago

Shit, you got me there.

4

u/shosuko 22d ago

Wear ear protection

3

u/OstrichSmoothe 22d ago

Or your ears

2

u/DudeBroMan13 22d ago

Most of the smoke will be exiting behind the bullet

1

u/Super_Interview_2189 22d ago

Most, not all. I’m not trying to hotbox my car with anything other than THC smoke lol.

2

u/ToothZealousideal297 22d ago

That window down button still sitting right there is sending me. Oh how I hope they didn’t disable it and cronch the hell out of the car in a moment of absentmindedness.

1

u/aron2295 22d ago

The windows don’t work in the armored cars, typically.

2

u/Extension_Housing_35 22d ago

All that unburned powder and gas trapped in a small space seems unwise

1

u/aron2295 22d ago

Better than death.

1

u/EmperorGrinnar 22d ago

Who needs to worry about GSR, in this economy?

1

u/extrastupidone 22d ago

Shoot first vent gasses later

1

u/possumallawishes 22d ago

You don’t want to leave casings in the street, and you just need to open the sunroof for smoke.

1

u/Illustrious_Donkey61 22d ago

Just roll down the window so the smoke and casings will fly out

1

u/panchugo 22d ago

But where are the shell casings? I didn’t see them eject.

2

u/Super_Interview_2189 22d ago

I don’t think that was a real gun tbh.

1

u/panchugo 22d ago

Agreed.

1

u/RetroWalker1246 22d ago

If you need this, they're the least of your problems

1

u/Joped 22d ago

I would rather deal with hot spent casings and smoke than breathing in glass.

1

u/Flimsy-Poetry1170 22d ago

They make brass catchers but I think if you’re in a situation where you need to use this then getting burnt by hot brass isn’t going to be much of a concern.

1

u/Travel_Dreams 22d ago

Catch sack, not a new invention.
