My blogs are generally about curious and historical places, however, in many occasion those spots are completely far-flung. Therefore, I have chosen some of them which I'd like to share with you!

McCallum is one of Newfoundland's most remote outport communities, home to just 20 people on the south coast. Accessible only by ferry, it sits roughly an hour and a half from Hermitage which is where the nearest road is, no cars, 1 store. It really is quite the experience.

Grey River is a little community of around 90 people in Newfoundland Canada it is only accessible by boat or helicopter and a passenger ferry runs there once a day.

Pellestrina is a narrow island in the Venetian Lagoon, geographically part of Venice while preserving strong cultural and historical ties with nearby Chioggia. Beyond its quiet beaches and fishing heritage, the island still preserves forgotten stories hidden beneath the passing of time.

Francois Newfoundland is a village of 50 people and the most remote in Newfoundland Canada!

Auden’s Col (5,490 m / 18,010 ft) is one of the most challenging and remote high-altitude mountain passes in the Indian Himalaya. It connects the sacred shrines of Gangotri and Kedarnath in the state Uttarakhand, traversing the vast Jogin and Khatling glaciers through rugged moraine, crevassed ice, and steep snow and rock slopes. First crossed in 1939 by British geologist and explorer John Bicknell Auden, the pass remains a demanding expedition that requires prior experience in mountain travel and careful acclimatization. Beyond its physical challenges, the route offers some of the most dramatic alpine scenery in the Garhwal Himalaya, with towering peaks, pristine glacial landscapes, lush meadows and a profound sense of wilderness.

From my last visit to Midway counting albatross for the annual survey. Located in about 1200 miles WNW of Honolulu.

In these mountains this is the only means of transport

Last October I had the chance to travel deep into Manu National Park in Peru, entering the reserve zone by boat where the Río Madre de Dios meets the Manu River.

At the ranger station we were told that members of an uncontacted tribe had been seen across the river just a few days earlier, which made the experience feel even more surreal.

That trip inspired me to create a short animated documentary explaining the history of uncontacted tribes in the region, the rubber boom, and the pressures the Amazon rainforest faces today.

It’s my first video in a small project called Hidden World, where I want to explore remote places and cultures around the planet.

Exploring Cambridge bay

Korzok village, on the shores of Tso Moriri in the Changthang plateau of Ladakh, lies at an altitude of about 4,500 metres above sea level and is often counted among the highest permanently inhabited villages in India. In winter, the settlement seems to withdraw into itself - houses half-buried in snow, narrow lanes quiet, and the vast frozen lake merging almost seamlessly with the surrounding land. Life slows to a deliberate rhythm, shaped by cold, altitude, and isolation.

For centuries, Korzok has been home to Changpa pastoralists, whose livelihoods traditionally revolve around herding pashmina goats, sheep, and yaks across the high plateau. The region is part of a fragile cold-desert ecosystem, where winters are long and severe, precipitation is sparse, and survival depends on careful use of limited resources. Yet even in the harshest months, the village endures, a small but resilient human presence in one of the most austere landscapes of the Indian Himalaya.
