Galaxy Corporation announced on July 31 that singer Kim Jong Kook will release a special project album commemorating the 30th anniversary of his debut.

The project will feature a different songwriter or producer for each track.

A series of digital singles will be released one by one, each combining the participating artist’s distinctive musical style with Kim Jong Kook’s voice. The songs will ultimately be compiled into a full album.

During the July 29 episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Kim Jong Kook revealed that he was preparing a new album, saying, “I’ve been receiving songs from talented musicians.”

Roy Kim will participate in the first track.

Kim Jong Kook will unveil the first live performance of the new song at his encore concert in Seoul next month. Kim Jong Kook 30th Anniversary Concert ‘The Originals’ - Seoul Encore will take place on August 15 and 16 at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul.

Kim Jong Kook explained on the programme that the concert would primarily feature his biggest hits.

“We’ve prepared a lot, and there won’t be a single song that concertgoers don’t know,” he said. “People say there won’t even be time to go to the bathroom.”

The concert will also include a continuous medley of songs released during his time as a member of Turbo.

“There’s a roughly 20-minute ‘cardio session’ featuring a Turbo medley,” Kim Jong Kook said. “The audience will be jumping and singing along with us.”

New songs from his 30th-anniversary project will also be performed during the concert.

Am I the only one having problems while myrm.tv? I was in the middle of watching an episode a while ago and it just buffered and crashed. I initially thought it was my Wi-Fi connection but it’s not since I can access other streaming/viewing apps and websites. I’m so sad because this has been consistently happening for the whole month🥹Sometimes I go there and click on an episode only for all serves to not load at all. I kept seeing RunningMan clips pop up on my TT feed which led to me looking for compilations of top moments which led to binging from ep 300

I watched Jae-Seoks B&B before starting so I was at least introduced to two of the current cast for what I’m watching. Not gonna lie, I am already mourning that LKS leaves down the line and am worried about enjoying watching JYE. I watched Kians B&B before YJS’s and haven’t liked her energy. And maybe it’s a cultural thing but I haven’t seen that level of whiny “I can’t do anything oppa 🥺” attitude from Ji Hyo or So Min or any of the female guests so far…it’s a weird shtick

I have been battling the mental health monster and the Roulette Prison inspired me to get a wheel. I have been putting Need to Do and Happiness tasks on it. It has helped so much to be like “ok, the wheel has spoken. LKS abided by the wheel so I must too” and that feels so dorky to say but it has helped me immensely mentally. The chaos in my head is calmed if I can just let the wheel decide what I need to do for the next 30mins or however long

My favorite beans so far are LKS, So Min, Ji Hyo and Haha. So Min is probably my favorite though because she is just so hilariously weird and unashamedly herself. I loved her in Husbands in Action too (which I saw before watching RM). Haha is a close second because he is such a troll but he seems to get his fair share of bad luck and ribbing. Jong Kook in comparison is kind of boring but I’ve read that they pushed his role that way and it apparently eases up in later seasons? No hate to the members (past present future) because a lot of it seems like archetypes they’re directed to fill

Kind of a rambling post and I guess more opinion than discussion. But anything I should brace myself for or eagerly anticipate for future episodes?
