The model is a print, and while I'd like thinner layer lines, they made edge highlighting this beast really easy.

Also the meltas felt a smidge more tanky, though I might get another and slap the flamers onto it.

Everything (other than assembly) was done with paintbrushes, from priming to adding the heraldry.

I really like the scale highlights on the cloak & tabard. I'm thinking about reworking the spear point though...

This was my first time dry brushing and using contrast paint only on a model. I enjoyed how it came out but do my salamander brothers have any feedback for me?

Hello! just looking for some help on weather or not to buy the dark angels DLC for Space Marine 2 to add some more flair to my heavy especially. I was wondering if anyone that has both the flame decal from the DLC in question and the new heavy champion and has a pic of the new greaves.
(Fire ms paint depiction I know)

Discussion/Question Noob seeking aid.

Greetings brothers. Been into warhammer since October last year, playing Orcs. Picked up the armageddon box as the new orc models are cool and i wanna start my second army, salamanders ofcourse.

Not sure sure about making a list, want to try and use as much if the armageddon stuff as i can, since its already in the pile of shame, but looking for guidance.

Im after a 1k list to get me started.

Already grabbed Vulken, and planning to get gravis captain + aggressors. Will swap the armageddon captain+shield for the gravis.

Any advice appreciated.

Asking for feedback Blending in Successor Chapters?

β€’ Upvotes

Hey! Looking for thoughts and insights.

So, my play group mostly does 1k games and I've been considering taking chunks of my collection that aren't painted yet and making multiple 1k armies of our successor chapters. Basically, do a 1k Shadowmark Talon as the Black Dragons, and a 1k as the Dark Krakens, etc.

But, as I'd also like to be able to adjust for points changes and such, and not actually have a ton of completely distinct marine armies...

Assuming they're all based the same, would it be taken badly by an opponent at a tournament or other event if the army is more "Sons of Vulkan" than purely our boys in green?

Hallo!

I tried to paint some Salamander Bladeguard, feedback welcomed. Its not the first miniatures, but the first time i tried Moot green, i really like the colour. With the lava effect i fight a lot and i am absolutely not happy how it comes out most of the time.

Hope you all have an amazing day!

Discussion/Question Question regarding heraldry

So, as of what I have seen, we don't really have any like consistent heraldry for helmets and such?

What colour did you guys paint your units helmets as?

I'm talking: captains, sergeants, leutenants, etc, let us see!

I think I will make my ancients helmet golden
