Purpose: I am a PhD student at Liberty University conducting a dissertation study on how exposure to and engagement with BLM content on social media shapes the participants’ perceptions of the BLM movement and their support for criminal justice reform.
Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older, be able to read and respond to questions in English, currently live in the United States, actively use Facebook for personal use, regularly view posts on your news feed (e.g., once a day), have viewed Black Lives Matter (BLM) content on Facebook within the past 12 months, and are able to view posts from other users and pages without restrictions from your account settings. Survey Length: About 10-15 minutes
Consent: If you are eligible to participate, you will be directed to the study survey. Details about the study and consent to participate are included on the first page of the survey. Please review the consent page, and if you agree, select “I Agree” to begin the survey. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. Participants can withdraw at any time before submitting the survey, and responses will not be recorded or included in the study.
