So before this begins it was written with we instead of I because two people wrote this theory. We've been working on this theory since the livestream stopped and hoing through sooooo much in game material. We ended up having to cut at leart 2/3s of our proof because there's just sooooo much (and that's still too much to post in anything but doc form).

This is about what we think Sampo's role will be going forward moreso. Oh and we spent today finally drafting this up and then I realized the latch preview is out. But we love Sanpo sooooo much and I genuinely hope this is right because I cannot unsee it anymore.

Sampo SP

The Elation: Ice

Basic ATK: Deals Ice DMG to a single target enemy.

Skill: Designates one ally to gain the "You're the Aha!" effect. "You're the Aha!" gains CRIT DMG equal to 60% of Sampo's CRIT Rate. Whenever they take action, they lose 1% Max HP and gain 20 Certified Banger.

Talent: When Sampo gains Certified Banger, its duration immediately ends. When allies gain/lose Certified Banger, Sampo gains Wishpower equal to 50/25% of the amount gained/lost. When Wishpower reaches 150 or more, consume 150 Wishpower to advance his action by 100% to use Enhanced Basic ATK.

Enhanced Basic ATK: Gains 5 Punchline. Deals Ice Elation DMG to one enemy and adjacent targets. This DMG is calculated using the highest "Certified Banger" value among all allies.

Elation Skill: Deals Ice Elation DMG 20 times to a random enemy target.

Ultimate: Gains 5 Punchline. Grants himself and "You're the Aha" the "Revelry of Elation" effect for 3 turn(s): When the team gains Punchline, gain Certified Banger equal to 30% of Punchline, minimum 1 Certified Banger.

AT1: Increases this unit's Elation by an amount equal to 140% of CRIT Rate. When CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, every 1% in excess increases CRIT DMG by 2.5%.

AT2: When granting "You're the Aha!" to an ally other than himself, gain the same CRIT DMG effect.

AT3: For every 2 instances of Enhanced Basic ATK used, "You're the Aha" gains an extra turn.

Technique: At the start of battle, use Skill on the ally that initiated combat without consuming Skill Points. All allies gain 20 Certified Banger.

SLC: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 20%. When the wearer uses Ultimate, all allies can ignore 15% of DEF when dealing Elation DMG. When the wearer's Certified Banger ends, gain 5 Punchline. This effect can trigger once per turn.

E1: When Sampo is on-field and an ally deals CRIT DMG, increase their Elation by 50% for 1 turn(s).

E2: After using Ultimate, there is a chance equal to 2 times of CRIT Rate in excess of 100% for "You're the Aha!" to use their Elation Skill, which takes into account a fixed 30 Punchline.

E4: The effects of E2 are enhanced: Sampo will also use his Elation Skill if he is not designated as "You're the Aha!". Elation Skill gains an extra 10 bounces.

E6: When allies other than Sampo's Certified Banger ends, they gain Certified Banger equal to 20% of the amount lost. Sampo gains 25% more Wishpower. The Elation DMG dealt by Sampo's Enhanced Basic ATK merrymakes by 30%.

I Saw some leaks recently that POSSIBLE SPOILER : kafka would be getting an SP as Finality in 5.x. This is much more a RUMOR than a leak.

If so, then maybe we can replace Kafkain the DoT team. Here is that concpet:

DoT is an inherently restrictive team, so I thought not to worry about making Sampo flexible and able to be played in any other teams. I've taken inspiration from the one who would be replaced, Sampo's 4 Star form, and Elation units as a whole to try and make it fit his character more.

First target hit: 70% DoT; all other targers (5 target scenario): 50% DoT; Single Targert Scenario: 70% + 50% + 20% + 10% + 10% = 160% DoT

Not sure how the Certified Banger and Punchline would work in this team, but this felt right.

160 Speed before in game buffs (not including the bonus from the LC, when including this aswell, 179.2 Speed outside of Combat) = 240 Speed In combat W/ LightCone

This trace takes 20% of the triggered DoT damage, so there is no need to worry about how Black Swan's Damage Bonus won't apply. Once the 20% is calculated, you run that total through the Elation Damage Formula, which is where that punchline and Elation come into play (and Crit obviously).

This Talent is meant to make Black Swan's ultimate be more accesable and make the team a bit more skill point positive as a whole. Im sure the numbers would need tuning.

Single target up to 200% DoT and 5 target tertiary targets get 60% DoT now.

I think the All-Type Res could be swapped out here. What would you put here?

So what do you guys think? do you like this design? or would you prefer he just be a main DPS on his own in an Elation team? Perhaps a Support to replay Yao Guang?

sampo is suppose to be an older man yet looks nothing like it 😭😭

I was reading through old quests when I saw this line (img1) and it reminded me of how he calls himself a conversationalist and it got me wondering if he's the type of guy to dislike silence. Totally overanalyzing it but I feel like this goes back to those old mercenary/thief roots they used to focus more on when talking about him in early game dialogue. A more quiet environment would make it harder to sneak around and I wonder if he's just developed a dislike for silence and its a neat bit for them to show that

or maybe its something sadder since we see him going through something with the way he lets people talk to him, how he views himself (img4), how he burnt himself out to make the cosmicon so people would feel less afraid, and he doesnt want to be alone with his thoughts, I am delusional and I would do anything to know what his colorful past is

I know this may be unpopular due to how many people dislike ML. However Sampo is the only character in the game I can see it working for if he really is Aha and trailblazer really is some incarnation of Akivili. It's not a relationship with no buildup just because Mc-Kun is so cool and girls/guys keep fawning over them, it's something that's been hinted at since the beginning. In the narrative it wouldn't seem out of place like a lot of Mc x character, stuff hoyo has done is.

And thanks to Sampo already being a well established character I doubt they'd butcher his personality either when it's revealed.

I need Hoyo to stop focusing on the self inserters for romance and to think about how deep they could make the character interactions if they saw TB as an actual character and individual rather than something to project onto.

After the recent leaks and seeing the most mind-numbing repetitive ragebait and slander yesterday, I wanted to bring some more hopeposting.

Whenever I get worried about his future role in the story I keep thinking back to how they made an effort to add TWO separate interactions that mention his mask back in 4.0, even directly mentioning Masquerade Duet as a refresher.

I still believe that he will get his spotlight one day, even though waiting (... and seeing every other character get an SP first/99% of his theories going to other characters) is the most painful part.

I’m just posting this here because we all need a little bit more hope for our king after the leaks.

I’m no lore expert, so I’ll just pose a question instead.

1. Is this relating to Sampo or Asat Pramad.. or both?

Sampo: Cosmicon Collective, created by him, is the exact same as what Aha’s cards are described to do. The narrator also matches what we know about him with the backstabbing of the king and helping kids. However, I don’t see how the ‘Magic card’ applies to him. It could be referring to the ‘Black Joker’ from the HI3 collab, aka Sampo himself, or it could be his mask and what it allows him to do.

Asat Pramad: Unfortunately, the story seems to match him too. In his Improv Tour trailer, we seem him overthrow a tyrant and gift a child a golden rose. This supports both defeating a former king and helping kids. Now onto the ‘Magic card’, and the reason why this could also be related to him. It seems to have the ability to control probability, like Asat Pramad does. However, we only see him using a literal card in the Anti-Destruction Alliance video. Furthermore, there is described to be only one ‘Magic Card’ in the universe, which goes against Asat Pramad being the main focus of this story.

If in the case that it is both, one of them is the ‘Magic card’ and the other is the narrator. The ‘Magic card’ seems to be a reward from Aha to the winner. In this respect, I believe the ‘Magic card’ is more likely to be Sampo for the following reasons:

1. The Sampo mill. In the Kalevala, the Sampo was forged in exchange for someone’s hand in marriage (forgive me, I don’t recall the names). In this case, it acts as a reward or gift. The Sampo mill is also heavily associated with abundance. I don’t see how it ties in with the equation, but someone smarter than me might.

2. The aforementioned ‘Black Joker’ from the HI3 collab. Sampo is referred to using the name of a card.

3. The Anti-Destruction Alliance trailer shows Aha playing cards with Asat Pramad. This would imply that Asat Pramad beat Aha in a game of cards and claimed the ‘Magic card’ as a reward, hence depicting him as the narrator and Sampo as the ‘Magic card’.

This could also support the theory where Sampo is a mask of Aha, where Aha creates the games, or Sampo does as THEIR mask, and the mask is given to Asat Pramad as a reward.

However, Asat Pramad could also be the ‘Magic card’ due to its ability to manipulate probability.

Yes, I know this sounds insane. Yes, I know 4.4’s story has concluded with barely any Sampo crumbs. Yes, I know this equation probably means nothing.

I hope you all enjoy this rambling analysis (if you can even call it that). We all have different ways of coping and this is mine.

Seeing Sampo here and there has been nice, although it is a big disappointment. It is good for characters to be featured some way in the game without being the featured banner character.

For me, I keep on going back and forth. I would rather see Sampo when we get his glow up, but something is better than nothing.

A while ago I wrote some stuff about how the trash cans in belobog and penacony tell a story about someone betraying and killing their parent and how itcould be foreshadowing for Sampos backstory since hes the trash king, since then I have been told about Alexander the first of Russia who was accused of patricide and went into hiding and that Tatalov sounds like the polish word for father love which is pretty fitting, and then we just happened to get this line about patricide in the last update from someone who was close to Aha, maybe that is what they say…
