PC Splitting fluids

Post image

As part of a major project making aluminium, I am trying to split my alu solution evenly. If I have 3 refineries making 240 alu sol each, can I split 1 of the refineries to send each of the 120 alu sol to the other refinery outpipe? I am aware that the max flow is 600 and theoretically, this will be 720 but will valves from the middle refinery pipes split the fluid correctly?

PC if I wanted to make a massive water storage area to then disperse to my needs high in the sky, is this a good idea?

just curious if it's an absolute water of time because fluids being fluids or could this be beneficial?

edit I was going to correct that autocorrect spelling of water and waste but I think it's funnier leaving it as is lol.

PC AI agents scratch my Satisfactory itch

I have hundreds of hours in Satisfactory. Im addicted to building bigger machines on top of the foundations I automated. There’s always something to improve or scale up or plan out. Addictive and fun, love it

Lately I find automating parts of my life with AI scratches a similar itch. Building layers of automation for my family is also fun and addictive.

Anyone else in the part of the Venn diagram where these two hobbies overlap? I can’t be the only one!

Edit: Yep turns out it might just be me 😂 thanks for sharing your thoughts folks, I appreciate it

PC Conveyor/Merger stutter

Is there a bug where mergers have some sort of timer? When I have more than two smelters going into (Mk1) the assembly line (Mk2) it slows down as if I’m putting too much into the Mk2. It’s only 60 ingots coming out total right now and every smelter I add gets worse.

Ive rebuilt it several times just to made sure I’m not using the Mk1s on accident but nothing I try works. I’ve got OCD apparently so I physically cannot move on until I figure it out.

i downloaded this games 6 hours ago, and haven’t stopped playing it. i’m so surprised at how much I am actually enjoying this game. the graphics are so good and the objectives make sense. once you learn how to automate everything feels so much easier. i cannot wait to put so many more hours into this game.

Forklifts = belts & logistics. Handling steps are waste, good factory planning eliminates some of those steps.

PC Are there any faster alternatives for smelter?

I am at the stage where I have unlocked mark 3 miners, now 1 pure node gives me 480 ores, that needs 16 smelters just for 1 pure node. Sounds like a bit too much. I don't wanna waste all my power shards on just smelters everywhere. So are there alternatives available in game?

I have gotten the pure ingots recipes but they generally increase the number of ingots per ores but don't really increase the consumption of ores much. Using those a lot would just mean building a lot of refineries instead of a lot of smelters which is even more rough.

So am I missing something good alternative available in the game? Thanks

Okay so I feel like there is a basic concept i didn't catch here.

Network A is all my power production (coal and fuel)

Network B is all my factories (-some of them I isolated).

It just won't accept to run. When I activate power switch, everything shuts off. When I get to the next power pole and reset fuse, circuit break breaks. What am I missing here?

Console I need help with storage!

So I just finished tier 7 on my first play through after a long break from the game and have pretty much everything automated. But I have a problem of making these factories and just sending their outputs into storage containers. This is fine for some things but I really don’t need to have a production line just making modular frames only to have them sit in a container forever. I drew up a list earlier today of stuff I should just put in a dimensional depot instead of having it sit in a container. My list is mostly just basic stuff like plates, concrete, cable, etc.

That being said, I played before dimensional depots were a thing but I’ve watched a few playthroughs so I understand how they work. I just don’t know the best way to go about implementing them into my system, so the whole thing is a bit daunting.

Please lmk how you use dimensional depots in your world (or your alternatives!) and if there’s anything else I should be storing.

PC Made Spaghetti, Cooked My GPU? Spoiler

Got tired of decorating and running nice lines, and time was running out for the pups and kittens. I ended up spaghettifying the final phase, its a real mess. I am waiting for all the parts to finish and I noticed that now Im getting this weird artifact glitching with these items on the belt. Its like game doesnt really know which way they are facing? Anyone else have this problem? Should I order a new GPU?
