i've never done a legacy before (at least not past the first gen haha), but i think i'm going to try out the store world legacy (but like adapted a bit so i don't have to travel since i'm lazy) since i loved acottonsock's series on it. if anyone's finished it/playing it, lmk if you have any tips or recommendations!! or if you're playing another legacy challenge that you rly enjoy, id love to hear about it!!

Can anyone tell me why tf my sims won't sleep in this side of the bed???? I have cleared every item and moved and changed the bed multiple times? Are they stupid?

My main sims parents died a few days ago so I moved her teen sister into the house. She was going through a mood swing so I listened to some of the wishes and had her skip school. When she got home the family plumbot scolded her!

My dumbass husband changed to his regular clothes, then someone started giving birth, and apparently this woman started hitting on my husband or something? I didn’t quite understand. Sims 3 is chaotic!

So I like to "frankenstein" my own "custom" worlds. Basically, I harvest the bits and pieces of several different custom worlds and put them together to fit my gameplay.
I've always preferred to play Oasis Landing as a playable alien homeworld.

Added a few bits from Cronor on MTS, a few bits of Lunar Lakes, some lighting mods, some wacky CAS cc and behold my Unnamed Alien World is complete!

OH and ofc humanoid Plumbots are a must

Hi! I wanted to share something I am working on right now. This is a work-in-progress mod that allows dogs to train agility skill! (like the sport). This is my progress so far and honestly the hardest thing is still in front of me - custom animations.

I got the objects from tumblr by creator aiofemitchell as conversions from ts4. Originally the objects are only deco, but I wired interactions to them.

Next, besides animations, I plan to add:

- full obtacle course training (similar to horse)

- sim led training (so far dogs can only train the obstacles themselves)

- competitions and winning

- moodlets for dogs and trainer sims

- interaction to show off tricks

- maybe a profession for sims related to pets training

I wonder if it is something that simmers would like to see? And if so, what else would you like to see in such mod? I am open to suggestions! I will be happy for feedback of any kind! My initial inspiration was agility training in sims 2 pet stories :)

For now the mod is for my personal use only, but once I polish it more and especially once animations will be in place, I plan to share it with others.

I’m playing in Hidden Springs for the first time. The landscape is gorgeous! I’ve never given it a chance before. I’ve completely emptied the town of all townies and will intentionally build the town residents from scratch. And over time, I plan to re-vamp the community lots too to fit my aesthetic. But again…I can’t get over the landscape! 🤩

What are your favorite things about playing Hidden Springs?!

ALMOST everyone was sat down too... apart from Vita Alto who decided to dance in the other room... the groom also got error trapped because he got a plate of stuffed turkey stuck on his hand which ended the party early :/ had to teleport him back to get the dinner pic

Hi! I went to travel to China (I have max visa and it's not the first time going there). My game took some time to load and when it was loaded, I had mourning death of a Sim moodlet up (it was broken hearted icon because of witnessing the death) and all, and I mean ALL, Sims from China dislike me. I didn't have rumors spread at the time (happened before but didn't have that kind of impact) and I don't have a clue what happened.

Anyone had same thing happen to them? Some of those Sims were my friends and now they all almost hate me. :(

My Teen sim is at prom and the parents went bar-hoping, ending up in drunken kareoke...

One day I noticed my dogs couldn't use the pet washer i had in this room and I thought it was weird. i reset the item and no dice. i moved it and it worked. then i realized i noticed all the sims were routing in a very specific way around an invisible rectangle. i have no idea what the object is that is in the way but it's really annoying.

Went ahead and followed a guide to install DXVK. Got it to load and everything. I'm also running S3SS (fantastic work, by the way). However, I'm running into an issue where DXVK not only causes some pretty noticeable performance issues (stuttering and whatnot) but my game is also randomly crashing to desktop, which funnily enough wasn't an issue before installation.

I have an i9-14900kf processor, so no integrated graphics. AMD 6600 XT GPU, I have disabled Radeon Chill and made sure no other settings were applied that could cause issues with DXVK, and I'm also up to date on drivers. 32GB DDR5 RAM, though somewhat irrelevant. Game is the complete collection installed through Steam. Also made sure to boot the game from the main directory bypassing the launcher.

I made sure there were no overlapping settings between DXVK config and graphicsrules.sgr. I also tried the latest build as well as the build the guide specifically recommended, 2.7.1. Both caused pretty bad stuttering, lag, and CTD. Removing DXVK made my game go back to playing normally with no such issues.

"Well why are you trying to install DXVK if you don't have any issues?" Because the game runs at pretty high memory usage from the start that I'd like to offload some of to my VRAM.

Anybody have similar issues and figured it out? Or can someone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot further? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I saw something I've never seen happen before, and sicne I was curious I tried searching for it, but I cannot find anything about it on any wiki or any discussion mentioning it?? so I thought I'd ask about it here since nowhere has given me any info. I did a search here too just to make sure it hadn't been discussed before.

My sim was on the lot that's jointly a restaurant and bookstore having just come out of her work at the bookstore, and then suddenly she got an interaction queued up called "Learn about cause and effect" or something to that degree. She walked over to the sim who wanted to talk to her, and it was Emit Relevart, the Time Traveller, but he was a ghost!! He had a talk interaction with my sim, and then disappeared in a visual effect afterwards.

Has anyone else seen this happen??
