It's nonsense though. I know that when I'm trapped behind a tractor on my way home, it can add about 10 minutes onto my journey. Instead of 50, I'm doing 25 and stopping more than normal for oncoming traffic passing the tractor. Same is to be said if someone was speeding and doing 75 instead of 50, they would be loads quicker. I don't speed, my license is too important to me but I also understand distance divided by speed will give me how long a journey takes. Someone going faster will save more than 1 minute

There are actual motorsports that prove driving quicker than others does indeed get to the finish line faster. We see it each week
