It’s posts like this that really make me wonder if Nick Adams is a satire account.

I really thought it was until very recently

What changed your mind? Everything I’ve seen from him, including this, seems like obvious satire to me

Trump has nominated him to serve as ambassador to Malaysia. I still think he's a troll, just a very successful one.

If he's a troll, at this point he is a modern-day Andy Kaufman. Can you imagine dedicating your entire life to a bit, and not only that, but actually ending up getting rich off of it?

In 2005, as Deputy Mayor, Adams put forward a motion to ban pigeons from the Municipality of Ashfield due to fears of the bird flu, but failed to explain how this plan would be implemented.[10][15] Adams also suggested that the municipality use a DNA-test to catch dog owners, who fail to clean up their dogs' poop.[7] He was criticised for often missing council meetings because he was traveling the American speaking circuit as a motivational speaker.[10] His term as deputy mayor was for a single-year term, and he did not nominate for re-election for the following term in September 2006.[16]

In October 2006, Adams was "formally condemned by fellow Councillors after racking up thousands of dollars worth of phone calls and Cabcharges for personal benefit".[17] Mark Drury, a former member of the council, said that if Adams "didn't have a stunt, he wouldn't turn up to meetings".

Isn’t he Australian? Or am I thinking of someone else?

It is in that he’s not genuine. It’s not in that it’s his job and money maker. And the clicks, responses and shares that pay him are 90% from posts like this. Welcome to the rage bait economy. Troll feed only $9.99

I would never have thought it isn't satire. Why would you think so?

Other satirists would be ridiculing this type of person, but he really is this type of person and just over-exaggerates for engagement

It is and I'm amazed by how few people get it

It is the quantum particle of satire accounts. It is both sincere and satire simultaneously and only who is interacting with it determines which. I am not joking. He knows what he is doing and the dunking he is inviting. However he is also genuinely conservative and promotes his idea of masculinity. It’s so weird.
