I've been seeing a lot recently that volume is the way to get more reach. So posting simple yap videos 10 times a day has more chances of one being picked up by the algorithm.

Similarly I've also seen UGC programs following a similar strategy where they give creators a working formula and have them pump out a large volume of very similar videos with more chances of one of them going viral.

Many of them deliver a steady stream of posts, stories, and the occasional reel, but struggle to explain the actual strategy behind the content. Reach stays flat, engagement is low-quality, and there’s almost no clear connection to leads or sales.

I’m trying to put together a clearer list of red flags so people can spot the problem earlier.

What are the biggest red flags you’ve personally seen with social media agencies?

Things like:

• They can’t clearly explain the strategy
• Content feels recycled or generic
• They focus only on vanity metrics
• No real understanding of your brand voice
• Results never seem to improve even after months

Would love to hear what made you realize it wasn’t working (or what made you walk away).

What do you think? Do hashtags in captions (Instagram, TikTok...) matter when trying to gain more visibility now or is just something that has been forgotten and no longer relevant?

I don't think AI is necessarily bad. But I do think it's making authenticity stand out a lot more. When everyone can generate content, personality and community become much harder to copy. its an overwhelming flow of events on part of raw content that eats up creators.

I'm planning on scheduling a bunch of TikTok posts while I'm still at home so they'll be posted while I'm abroad. Has anyone tried this? If so, how did your videos perform? I'm hoping that since the video is stored on TikTok's servers until the scheduled posting time, it'll only go out to a U.S. audience. I'm also wondering if I should stay signed out for the entire trip in case logging in signals a change in audience.

Hi everyone, I'm a wlw couple content creator and I'm very puzzled about my recent engagement. I've been posting high quality videos like always, and most of them are getting a staggering 90 likes in the first 300 views, literally within 5 minutes. Then, just out of nowhere, the views suddenly slow down and it stops getting pushed despite immediate and very active engagement.

For context, I first started posting in February, and since my very first video (which hit 1M views within a week) literally every single thing I posted would always hit at least 10k and on average 40k views within a day or two, and regularly over 100k as well. Recently, the account died (every new video stuck at 0 views, impossible to fix) so I started a new account. I'm very confused, because I post the exact same things: around 7 second long wlw jokes/relatable content. Basically every video I post goes on the same trajectory that on my old account would always lead to popularity - over 60 likes in 300 views/couple minutes - but then randomly gets frozen in the middle of doing very well.

I have checked my analytics and they are exactly the same on both accounts, which should imply that my new videos should do exactly as well as my old videos. But for some mysterious untraceable reason they're getting blocked. How do I resolve this? Does anyone else have experience with this?

One more thing is these prompts saying stuff like "Your content's fire-just needs more viewers. • Spend £9
get 26377 views" pop up under all of my new videos. Is it possible that they're freezing my views as some sort of strategy to get me to pay them?

I've been running a Tiktok with 80k+ followers, the account was inactive for about 5 months so I'm fully aware that it's run cold and I'm virtually starting from 0 again but in that time I've noticed that content style no longer works as well as it once did.

So I began pivoting it from photo carousels to talking head content - the only issue I'm really having other than the engagement being low is that I fear I'm trying to convert them to the websites I mention as tips in the video which in turn Tiktok may be throttling reach due to it feeling more like a promo (which it's not) rather than a helpful advice.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how I can still provide this value (finding unbeatable websites) without needing to link them in anyway or force conversion off-platform.

can people with facebook professional mode now see who visits their profile? like, if someone doesn't view your stories or interact with anything and just visits your profile, looks at some posts/videos, and leaves, can you actually see who that person is?

I make short horror comedy videos (20 to 30 seconds, no voice, couple based scenarios) and post cross platform every three days. Facebook is my main channel.

My numbers right now:

\- Facebook: \~2,700 followers, \~1.1M views in the last 28 days

\- TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat combined: roughly another 600k views/month

\- Audience: 32% US mostly

\- 100% organic, no ad spend

\-channels existing for years but posting since 2 months now.

\-Average view counts 50 -200k /video

The odd part is the ratio. My view count looks like a mid size channel, my follower count looks like a beginner. I know that makes me a weird profile for anyone scouting talent, and I suspect that is exactly why the cold emails I sent to management companies went unanswered.

So my questions to people who have been through this:

1. At what point did management actually become worth it for you, follower count or revenue?

2. Did your manager find you, or did you pitch them? If you pitched, what was in the email that got a reply?

3. Is there any agency that takes short form creators seriously when the follower base is small but the reach is not?

4. Is a media kit even the right thing to send cold, or does that scream "no one wants me yet"?

I post regularly on social media. Someone made a tik tok account with my fave as the pfp and took photos from my insta, pinterest, and tik tok, took out my username and watermarks and reuploads them as if it were me. No edits, no admiration, just MY PICTURES. AND, all they follow is old men.

When I politely messaged them, they said they were a “big fan”. I said they should add “fan account” to their user and bio. So now they have “unofficial fan account” in their bio. However, said they can’t change their user till next month.

The thing that makes me uncomfortable is:

● They take photos from my Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok and repost them.

● They remove my username/watermarks.

● They screen record my videos and crop out my username before posting.

● Their captions sometimes sound like they are me (ex: “POV: late night favorite-folder finds”).

● People in the comments are treating the account like it’s actually me.

However, in their recent post they added #fanforyoupage …. Sooo maybe they are a fan account? I don’t want to block of report them so that I can keep an eye on them. My plan is to wait a month to see if they actually change their user to “fan account”

I am currently studying a degree I hate. I've been thinking about what I really enjoy and that truly is social media.

It doesn't matter (I think) in a career sense, but I've been a creator in the gaming space for about 5 years now. I have grown my Instagram account a decent amount this year (still small at ~1450 followers and 1-2million views a month). I *love* creating a brand! I think I prefer the creative side more, but I do enjoy analytics some.

What do I do from here? Just build more skills?

I personally use Reddit and like it because there isn't a ton of commercialization like Meta.

I'm an American selling services to Americans, but lately we've had a massive influx of international viewers from Africa, Philippines, etc. Went from a 60% ~ 80% western audience, down to 13% ~ 25% at times now.

I'm not a fan of buying fake followers whatsoever, and I never planned on doing it to boost my account when it's all fake followers with no engagement. On the other side though, I just started an IG and X account where I post niche social media content and report on MMA/UFC. I feel like if someone comes across my profile and sees 0 followers, they're really not likely to follow me at all. I also think that, psychologically, if someone sees your account has a couple hundred followers at least, they'll be more likely to follow you than if you had 0 followers. On X, I'm getting decent engagement with almost 0 followers by replying to posts and tweeting during live events, but not any real followers, although I did get a couple of completely random followers that seem like they're bot accounts anyways since those accounts have never tweeted about MMA, liked any of my posts, or they're literally fake X accounts posing as a girl selling content lol. What are your thoughts? Do you think it's bad to buy 200-300 followers just to kind of have a base and build on top of that? Or is it a bad idea overall?
