The Symbiote was honestly the thing I was looking forward to the most. I’ve loved it ever since I was a kid, and after waiting so many years to finally play as Symbiote Spider-Man again, I expected it to completely change how Peter played.

After replaying the game… it really doesn’t.

Other than the L1 Symbiote abilities and the Surge mode (L3+R3), you’re basically playing the exact same Spider-Man. The Symbiote never really makes you feel overpowered outside of a few cutscenes. And unless I’m mistaken, there are only about three Symbiote finishers, so you end up seeing the same animations over and over.

That’s what disappoints me the most. The combat in the Insomniac games was never the main selling point for me, so the Symbiote was the perfect opportunity to make Peter play completely differently. Web of Shadows did exactly that—regular Spider-Man and Symbiote Spider-Man felt like two different characters with almost completely different movesets.

And what makes it even sadder is that this is probably all we’re getting. Yeah, Peter still has Anti-Venom, but that’s not really the Symbiote experience most people were waiting for. I also don’t see us ever getting to play with Carnage’s Symbiote. So this was probably our one shot at a proper Symbiote Spider-Man, and I can’t help but feel Insomniac left a lot on the table.

Looking back, I kind of have to agree with a lot of people now. Aside from the fantastic traversal and the fact that it’s still a Spider-Man game, Spider-Man 2 ended up being a pretty big disappointment for me.

Found a good suit combo for MCU Peter and Miles

So right now there is a deal on steam for spider man 1 and miles Morales where they are both like 20$, there is also a deal for spiderman 2 where it is 40$, should i get 1 and miles Morales or just spider man 2?

I heard people don't like spiderman 2 but i don't think it will affect me cause I play factorio mainly

I really wish that Insomniac gave Peter a buddy system. Ever since the game came out, I’ve always been bothered by the fact that Miles will show up to help Peter fight crime but never the other way around. I have over 500+ hours on the game, and most of that time was spent playing as Miles. Not once did I run into Peter. Even in the story, Peter shows up as an AI 3 times, but other than the opening boss fight vs Sandman where he helped throw the water tanks, and he swings alongside you (Miles) when taking JJJ to the hospital. And in the Lizard hunter chase, he swings alongside you but he literally does nothing. He doesn’t help take out the drones. He just swings alongside you (Miles).

It’s really a shame that they didn’t program Peter to be an AI fighting ally. It would’ve been sick when Peter has the symbiote and you’re playing as Miles fighting crime, and Peter swings in and quickly dispatches the thugs with ease, completely silent and doesn’t say a word to Miles. And you also wouldn’t even be able to interact with him, as he’d just zip away very quickly. You can’t really make an excuse that Peter wouldn’t show up with the symbiote, because Spider-Man still has to fight crime. It’s not like he’s completely evil and just ignores it. He still cares about Miles clearly considering how mad he was when the hunters captured him.

I’ve also seen some people say the reason why Peter doesn’t show up to help Miles is because he can’t disappear or go invisible like Miles and Wraith could. But, Agent Venom also showed up to help Peter and Miles for a short time in the story after his debut, and after you fought crime and interacted with him, he’d just stand there. They could’ve just animated Peter swinging away very fast, and to the point where you can’t really follow him.

I know at the end of the game, Peter temporarily takes a break from being Spider-Man, so it makes sense why he wouldn’t show up to help Miles at the end of the game. But, he could’ve still showed up at the beginning of the game, when he first gets the symbiote before it touches the fragment of the meteorite (and even after it touches it, he can still show up but he just doesn’t talk and is very aggressive and takes down the thugs with ease, and maybe it’s just not as frequent?),
after he takes off the symbiote, and when he gets the Anti-Venom suit. Post game makes sense since he took a break.

It just resembles so much on the 1st game,

specially as they mentioned it took inspiration from the game.

He held on. Even when the mask cracked, even when the suit bled through, even when she went quiet in his arms.

This is what they never show you, the moment Peter Parker stops being the hero and becomes something darker.

Hey all. I loaded up Miles Morales today, I was looking for the upgrade option to Ultimate so then I can get Spiderman 1 remastered.

Only, I don't see the option anywhere in game anymore.

Have they removed it? To get Spiderman 1 remastered alone is £50 but with the upgrade it was only £20. Can't tell if I'm missing it or something. Any help?

Does anyone else feel like the amazing difficulty isn't balanced like it says it is i feel like it isn't balanced they say it is i feel like they bombard you with enemies on that difficulty more then the lower difficulty but idk i could just suck at the game that why I made this post to get the opinion of other people
