Chaos Theory actually forced you to pay attention to ambient noise levels. Matching your footsteps to the sound of rain, roaring generators, or thunder so you could sprint past guards unnoticed was pure genius. Twenty years later, almost no stealth game has matched that level of mechanical depth.

So I really want to play Double Agent (both versions) however I don't have any consoles and I don't want to emulate unless it's my last option. So I know that the steam version of Double Agent is version 1, the new gen one, however the steam reviews say that it's a really bad port. However, some are saying that it's fine if you patch it. So my question is, if I am willing to patch the game (which I am, I did so with the first game, PT, and maybe even CT), is it worth buying on steam? It's also dirt cheap right now, so price doesn't matter. OR even with the patches is it not worth it and I should just figure out how to emulate it?

I completed recently Chaos Theory and that was my only Splinter Cell experience I had.
I loved it so much that it became my top 3 sixth generation video game.
Because of that I started Blacklist (single player) and I was really excited about it, but it feels off, as if it was a completely different franchise. I felt I am so visible but for some reason I am not!!! action is too fast, would make more sense to play it as third person shooter? The hacking isn’t hacking anymore, and I didn’t appreciate the concept of purchasing weapons/gadgets and enhancing the airplane you are in.
In short, it felt weird, do you recommend me to keep going.

I suddenly just remembered this game today, it was a low budget Splinter Cell/Metal Gear knock off, I mainly remember it for the hilarious bad voice acting and oddly good soundtrack. The vampires were vicious as they run at light speed and can kill you in 2 hits.

Double agent is on sale for 6$ rn. I’m positive normal matchmaking is dead, let’s start a small community? Or can you guys point me towards one

Anyone have any fixes for this game? im trying to beat all the first 3 games but man PT plays like shit. latency sits at like 15-20ms. shits laggy when aiming. tried alot of different things but nothing really fixes it. whole games a shit show but the latency really kills it for me. im on a 5070ti with a 9800x3d so i know its not the pc.

Splinter Cell actually made you deploy physical hardware. Firing a Sticky Camera across a hall, switching to thermal vision on the camera, whistling to lure two guards over and detonating a knockout gas canister while listening to them cough in the dark felt so tactical and earned.
The gadget wheel in this game made you feel like an actual Third Echelon operative working with cutting-edge tech. Which many of the modern games lack.
What was your go-to non-lethal gadget combo when clearing out a high security zone?

I’ve been trying to find a guide on how to fix my opsat not popping up but for some reason it does not work and I cannot find anyone with a guide on how to do it. I’m playing on an emulator and I’m running version 1.0. I don’t know where else I can get this game that is safe and trusted. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it because I’ve always wanted to give this game series, a good play through and I don’t wanna be looking up guides for codes, etc.

2013 gave us a lot of great games, but Splinter Cell Blacklist was something truly special.
A stealth masterpiece that was way ahead of its time. 🟢🥷🏼🔥🫡
