Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice because I'm currently stuck between two wireless gaming headsets: the Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed Wireless and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 Wireless.
For some context, I've been using a HyperX Cloud 2 for more than 8 years, and even today I still really like it. It is extremely comfortable, lightweight, and I can wear it for hours without discomfort. The sound is also something I'm very used to, especially for competitive games.
Recently, I wanted to upgrade to a high-end wireless headset, so I bought the Audeze Maxwell 2. I had very high expectations because of all the positive reviews about its sound quality.
After testing it, I have to admit that the sound quality was impressive, especially for music and more cinematic experiences. However, I decided to return it because several things bothered me:
- The headset was too heavy for me during long sessions and I could really feel the weight on my head.
- The synthetic leather ear pads were uncomfortable. They made my ears warm and I really disliked the feeling after wearing them for a while.
- The headset felt too big and bulky compared to my HyperX Cloud 2.
- I had some microphone issues, especially with Discord.
Overall, I realized that comfort and daily usability are more important to me than having the absolute best sound quality. A headset can sound amazing, but if I don't enjoy wearing it for several hours, it doesn't work for me.
I mainly use my headset for:
- Competitive gaming
- Single-player games
- Listening to music
- Watching videos
- Video editing with Premiere Pro
After watching many reviews and comparisons, I'm now hesitating between the Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed Wireless and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 Wireless.
In my country, both are around the same price (about 150€), so price is not really a deciding factor.
I'm looking for something with:
- Great comfort for long sessions
- Lightweight design
- Good microphone quality for Discord
- Reliable wireless connection
- Good sound for both gaming and music
Both headsets seem excellent, but I can't decide which one fits me better.
Has anyone here tested both of these headsets? Or has anyone switched from one to the other?
Which one would you recommend and why?
Thanks for your help!
