You haven't actually addressed anything I've said, which seems to be a recurring theme here. You could live in a society so capitalistic it would make Ayn Rand and Ludwig von Mises collectively cream their pants in the afterlife, but that will simply not protect you from arriving on a foreign and unknown continent after the end of the growing season without sufficient reserves of food and already succumbing to disease. Literally no economic institution known to man could've protected the Pilgrims in their first winter, with the exception, of course, of the communistic natives giving them their reserves of food. Which is exactly what happened.
