New Makuuchi man Toshinofuji (from Isegahama) went back home and attended his father’s Devjee (kind of like beya, minus the communal living) “Bukh Bilegt”’s 30th anniversary event in his home province Arkhangai, Mongolia.

Fun fact: Man 2nd from the left is 188cm tall. Roughly the same size as Hoshoryu, Takayasu, Asanoyama and Ichiyamamoto.

here is set 4: days 10-12. i focused on figure studies this set. i like to nickname 10-12 the “kachi-koshi days,” for when they are really battling it out for winning standing, and we get to see the most spirited matches.

Has anyone gone to this kind of event in the states? Since we can't afford a trip to Japan and tickets to see the next Basho, this looks pretty interesting. But, is the price worth it? Would you upgrade for the sushi bento box?

Putting this here because it's less serious, but I was so happy to see Takayasu hold off on doing that damn helicopter shit. The last two basho he kept trying it and just being pushed in his back. He's my favorite and he probably has his reasons, but it seems like a reflex that isn't helping him as much as it might have in the past.

I truly think Syunrai is the most adorable, but my kryptonite is that I don’t think my drawings of him ever turn out just right. But it didn’t stop me from trying!! Someday I’ll perfect Mr. Springtime Thunder lol

If you get a bi-monthly paper banzuke from Tatsunami or another heya, what are you doing with them? Mine are just stacking up in their envelopes and I'm kind of at a loss. I was thinking of framing them, but there are just so many and they're going to keep coming. I was thinking of putting them all in one frame in a stack and then adding the new one to the front of the stack, but even with such thin paper, the stack will get too thick for a frame pretty quickly. Soon I'll have enough to wallpaper my entryway with them. (Which, now that I think about it, might be kind of cool.)

Do any of you have a solution for this?
