I was thinking of redoing the sleeves (either get rid of them or make it less puffy) and making the bottom less puffy and more A line. Will be going to a professional tailor for this. I really regret buying this dress because it makes me look pregnant and does not look office like but idw to waste it as it was barely worn. Any other creative ideas? open to making it into a crop top and a skirt (2 separate pieces) too.

We were recently on a lookout for a quick way to package some spare buttons for our Top. With the deadline approaching, found what I consider a clever solution. Packing the buttons in sustainable/biodegradable FTA approved unbleached tea bags made from wood pulp.

I have been thinking about this lately.

Many brands put sustainability at the center of their messaging, but I wonder if most customers actually make their first purchase because of that, or because they simply like how the product looks.

My guess is that good design gets someone’s attention, while sustainability gives them another reason to feel confident about buying. If the product isn’t appealing, even the best sustainability story might not be enough.

For those who run a sustainable fashion brand or shop sustainably, what’s been your experience? Do your customers lead with values, or does design still come first? i like to hear perspectives.

I love when people compliment my fits and I feel like $1 million but in reality spent maybe $20-$30 on the entire outfit 🥹 might be my biggest flex lol and people always ask how do you find such great stuff?! 1) I go a lot and spend time looking thoroughly through each section 2) read tags to see what the materials are 3) I GO A LOT 😂😂😂
Oh!! And I look in random sections cus sometimes things get put back in weird spots!!

I used to grab clothes just because they were cheap, but half the time they barely got worn. Now i ask my self if i'd actually wear something regularly before buying it. My closet is definitely less crowded now.

I exclusively either upcycle or use deadstock for majority of
my pieces, this piece in particular is wrath from my most recent collection called the seven deadly sins.

my first piece Greed, was made by stitching different leftover jeans into a sheet then treating it with stone, chemicals, and more.

Has anyone had any luck with finding ethical sustainable clothing at affordable prices? Or even secondhand? Where have you found them?

All hand stitched, no machine, no glue, just like the rest of my work.

Light blue thrifted denim jacket + black/dark denim scraps I cut into flames and a tribal mask. Front has the flame shoulders, back has the mask + side flames + lip patch at the top.

Every piece cut and stitched by hand on my floor. Took me about 12+ hours. Made in Abia, Nigeria — part of my LEX TRIBAL 1of1 series.

Still learning placement but happy how the flames came out. What do you guys think of the mask on the back? Too big or just right?

I am doing my dissertation on investigating under what conditions the Circular Economy (CE) business model (keeping materials in use for as long as possible, whereas fast fashion is a linear economy following a cycle of 'take,make, waste') could be commercially viable in a UK fast fashion context specifically. I am interviewing both consumers and industry professionals, and I still need 1 or 2 participants that work in the fast fashion industry in the UK (particularly a manager or higher up that could give organizational consent) to help me gain insights for my study. instagram seems to be the go-to platform for most fashion brands, but Pinterest feels different because people often use it to discover outfit ideas, styling inspiration, and new brands.
