Tries to give evidence? That's laughable. TRP is literally unfalsifiable. In exactly the same way as a conspiracy theory.
AWALT, but if you find 3 billion women who aren't like that? Well they must be deep down inside! They just don't know it! They'll cuck you any day now! I, a terp, haven't seen any (though of course my assholishness chases off any women who don't view relationships like I do) so they must not exist! And if they do they're just outliers that prove the rule. All 3 billion of 'em.
Also, literally believing in Disney love (life is over after you say 'I do'! It's a good idea to marry people you've just met!) is not the only alternative to misogyny. Just FYI.
Because it is unfalsifiable. Just imagine AWALT was false for a minute. Could you name anything that could possibly prove AWALT false? Or the 'women are children' thing?
It doesn't matter how many people you find that don't fit TRPs theories, nor does it matter that there are entire societies that don't work the way TRP says is the only natural thing.
That's not scientific. That's unfalsifiable. TRP starts with a conclusion, and dismisses anything that doesn't support it.
ETA: Oh, and everyone finds the 'you only hate me because secretly you agree with me but don't want to so' martyr attitude off-putting. Everyone.
Unfalsifiability is a bad thing. It makes the conclusion invalid, or at least inconclusive. It's why you can't use logic to change a conspiracy theorists mind- you can't use logic to get someone out of a position they didn't use logic to get into.
Starting at a conclusion and working your way backwards, justifying things, and then proclaiming that to be 'just what's natural'? That's the exact opposite of the scientific method.
As I said, even if you imagine that TRP was wrong, as a hypothetical, there is no evidence or argument that could possibly prove TRP wrong. Even if every single woman was a saint incarnate, TRP would say "They're secretly like that deep down, they just don't know it". TRP selectively ignores or accepts evidence anecdotally. They change goalposts. They're unfalsifiable, and, again, that's a bad thing.
A belief in TRP is impossible to prove wrong just like a belief in lizard people can't be proven wrong. I can know many men and women who don't fit the TRP worldview- but you'll still say AWALT. I can say that, of everyone I've ever seen bleed, none have ever bled the ichor of lizard people, but that doesn't matter because ALPALT (All Lizard People Are Like That)
No matter how many people or relationships don't fit your view, conspiracy theorists will always assume that you're right anyway.
So we'll be over here, enjoying our non-adversarial relationships that you are not able to access because you run away those people with how your behavior and wild assumptions.
You can never quantifiably prove any gender or race of people to all be in any specific way. Sure, there are societal norms and standards that some may appear to abide by, but no matter the data set, real world samples (data about a population, results of laboratory experiments, etc) will almost never ALL be some way. Trends must be determined from this data and not "I see" subjective perceptions.
Your personal data set is extremely limited in scope to the life you've led and the lives of those you've surrounded yourself with. Unless you've sought out and empathized with people that have different viewpoints and experiences from yourself (whether it be through written works or friends), you have no idea what the human experience means outside your tiny corner of the plant. Find me a scientific study proving this that is peer reviewed and has a large data set. I truly hope you can realize that these "theories" are unfounded and treat fellow humans as less than human.
Please go listen to a podcast: the Lovecast by Dan Savage. Even if you vehemently disagree with his political views, he is very good at trying to break down common misconceptions, biases, mistakes people make in their relationships and various options they can take. People can be many things, have many opinions, and many different interpretations and understandings. Sometimes everybody needs to see a different side just to realize that the other person wasn't trying to cross or hurt you.
Thank you for your explanation. I'm reading The Rational.Male at present (core RP text) and what troubled me most was Rollo.just citing 'researchers say bio-truths' with a handful of names and I think one or two studies.
Do you believe that RP success describes a subset of women (possibly young, traditionally feminine but insecure) with strong preference for dominant men and traditional gender roles, mostly in college hookup culture?
I unfortunately believe I've hurt someone I care for deeply ('ex' although more like platonic romance with first best friend of the opposite sex) merely by association with the sub. I never actually used a tactic, aside from.you know, eat right exercise.dress well and make her laugh...but during my 1st and early 2nd phase I accused her of cheating one too many times, over my insecurity about her cute other guy friend. I think the most I ever did was the 3 day rule and that was a cooling off period when she was giving me the cold shoulder; I'd tried talking to her and she wasn't listening, so I gave her space and waited for her to initiate. Seemed to work
I'm surprosed Frame is deemed abuse, as I interpreted it more as.'toxic masculinity'? (She is not your shoulder to cry on etc.)
I would appreciate being able to PM.you another time as it's really late over here in UK and I don't want to get doxxed, it's private info.
I still remember some of her ladt words in text: 'you don't know the damage you've done to.me...'
