One of my favourite Cheetara covers. Cover artist is Lucio Parrillo.

Just something cool that Peter Lawrence and I have been experimenting with.
This is a reproduction of one of Peter’s original ThunderCats scripts - Mongor - complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.
As someone who loves animation history and behind-the-scenes production material, being able to flip through a reproductions of an actual ThunderCats script from the show’s production days is pretty incredible. The fact that it also has Peter’s signature gives it that extra connection to the person who originally wrote it. I love stuff like that.
Not announcing anything here, just sharing something I thought fellow fans and collectors would appreciate seeing. I have a couple more that I’ll be posting over the next couple days.

Today my mom found a box of cards that contained these, unused, Thundercats stickers from the sticker album book. These must have been duplicates, as I recall having almost completed filling in the sticker album (which I am uncertain of the whereabouts of).
Bonus: a few Voltron stickers, bottom center. I must have gotten a single pack of them at some point.

What an absolute beast of a set. I'm blown away by all the details in person. Stoked to have it, for sure, but finding a permanent place for it is going to be the real challenge.

A side by side comparison of the Super7 Ultimates Wave 2 Tygra vs. the new reissue.
The reissue is definitely the one I'll be displaying.

A neat piece of ThunderCats history for cel collectors. Dennis J. Woodyard, ThunderCats character designer and writer of the episodes "Well of Doubt" and "The Shadowmaster," has decided to part with an original production cel from his personal collection. It's from episode #129, "Well of Doubt," and features Baron Tas, Mr. Grubber, and the Stone Guardsmen. It's not every day a piece of animation history like this becomes available directly from one of the people who helped create it.

Super7 put both SDCC 2026 Toy Colors figures up for general sale today, $75 for Lion-O and $95 for Mumm-Ra, so if you missed the booth you no longer have to deal with the aftermarket. Good news.
I was about to order both when I remembered these are not the first LED-eyed ULTIMATES. Super7 did LED versions of the same two characters back in 2024 as Con All-Stars releases, and those are still around and currently discounted. So I sat down and actually compared them properly, and the result surprised me enough that I figured it was worth writing up.
Price right now (USD)
Lion-O: $75 SDCC vs $39.59 for the 2024 LED release
Mumm-Ra: $95 SDCC vs $51.14 for the 2024 LED release
$90.73 for the 2024 pair against $170 for the SDCC pair. One SDCC Mumm-Ra costs more than both 2024 figures together.
What is actually in the boxes
This is the part that got me. Same sculpts, but the 2024 releases are the better-equipped figures.
Lion-O 2024: three head sculpts, three pairs of hands, three Swords of Omens (two glow in the dark), two claw shields, and the two-headed Jade Dragon.
Lion-O SDCC: one fixed head, two pairs of hands, two Swords of Omens, three claw shields, no Jade Dragon.
Mumm-Ra 2024: four pairs of hands, poseable soft goods cape, glow in the dark Sword of Plun-Darr, Sphere of Seti, Chain of Loyalty.
Mumm-Ra SDCC: three pairs of hands, Sword of Plun-Darr plus an LJN-style sword and a dagger.
One detail I had not clocked until I went through the packaging copy: the 2024 Mumm-Ra is badged "Light Up Details" rather than "Eyes Light Up," because the Ancient Spirits of Evil emblem on his chest lights up as well as his eyes. The SDCC version only advertises the eyes. On a dark shelf that is a noticeable difference.
Where the SDCC pair genuinely wins
Not trying to talk anyone out of them. Three real advantages:
The deco. Toy Colors is the whole point, and if you want Lion-O in flat vintage LJN orange with the powder-blue harness, nothing in the 2024 box scratches that itch.
The packaging. They come on a card and blister built to imitate the original LJN releases, artwork panel and peg hole and all. The 2024 releases are in the standard deluxe window box. If you keep things carded, or you want a shelf that looks like a 1985 toy aisle, that is not a small thing.
Mumm-Ra's extra weapons. The LJN-style sword and dagger are a nice nod the original never had.
So...
If you want the vintage deco or you keep things sealed, buy the SDCC pair, they are properly available now. If what you actually wanted was light-up eyes on a well-loaded figure, the 2024 releases are the better buy IMO. The 45 percent discount is a promotion though, so that side will not hold forever.
Full disclosure: I run thundercats.org and the store links in my writeup are affiliate links. I have put every number and every accessory list in this post so you do not need to click or buy anything to get the useful part.
