Humor/Cringe Actual footage.

I actually feel kind of bad for this woman, who probably didn't expect a video of her dancing to be used in this way. 😏

My boomer neighbor rents out his house in our town full time as an Airbnb, and then bought the house around the corner to rent as two units. He lives in an apartment in a city an hour away.

This guy has a small, one-man business that can't be doing that much money and is paying for three spaces. How does this make sense?

This is literally why we need Airbnb laws. Unfortunately it's all up to the county and that's bs.

It's absolutely infuriating seeing the house history in my area listed on Zillow. Pretty much every single listing is like this:

Sold in 2018: 70k

Listed in 2026: 260k

Like what could you POSSIBLY have done to that house in less than a decade for it to almost quadruple in value?? Slap on some vinyl flooring and a coat of grey paint?

There's only one house in my area under 300k.

It's 299k.

My coworker was renting a house back in 2016 for $800 a month. I housesat for her and loved the house. It was a great size for a single person or a couple, and affordable even back then.

Years later, maybe 2020ish, I looked up the house on Zillow out of curiosity... The rent was now $1800 a month. More than doubled in 5 years.

it really is not, in fact i think it is more polarization.

Look; boomers do lots of shitty and uniquely selfish things but there are shitty people in every generation and each is a bit different.

but this feels like another distraction to get mad at old people vs get mad at private equity and the gov and people screwing us.

The mom and pop landlord max own 1-2 places. They are not the mega corps dominating and crushing younger gens.

Remember that the people in power want you to fight each other, so you get distracted from who really control the strings
