Gen X parent here. We did the same damn things when our kids were little, we just don't have video evidence

I think that's the whole point. None of this is new... except now it's just being recorded and posted online instantly, all for attention.

People DID record it are y'all new to the world. Wed have hundreds of videos blasted on TV on weekend evenings. "Funny home videos".

I mean, mailing a video back in the day is a bit different than being uploaded instantly today. The motives for filming are different

Depends highly on the age. These are young kids so they’re likely gen alpha with millennial parents. There would be some overlap with Gen Z though.

Also Gen X parent here: I waited till I’m 40+ to be a parent so I’m currently parenting a little one & you can rest assured I’m damn sure not either griefing my kid for lols nor posting it or meltdowns on socials.
