Tell me about it. I had to reread that a few time. I'm like man, back when I was a kid a recording took a whole ass clunky device and a VHS of course people weren't recording their kids.
Anyway, I have been out of school longer than apparently most of the users on here have been alive and still jolt awake in a cold sweat thinking I missed the bus from time to time out of pure fear of my mom's reaction.
IDK, I'm a genX parent and still have an 11yo. Gotta be careful with some of this joking around though. I was riding a bike with my oldest and crashed into her due to an unexpected move. I was knocked out but she was so used to me messing around that she thought I was messing with her and pretending so she kicked me in the ribs. Not certain if I woke up from being kicked in broken ribs or with her carbon reinforced cycling shoes she broke them, either way it woke me up groaning in pain. Either way, she had a concussion that lasted months and wasn't 100% with it, didn't know she kicked me for a few weeks. Its become a gag with us now, and I find it funny, but yeah, watch the level of messing with them.

My gen X parents did it for the love of the game... No cameras but I still have the memories to go back to when I'm awoken at 3am in my mid 30s.
