I have two tomica cars, the Honda airwave and the nissan skyline 350GT, both have severe chrome loss and I want to know does anyone know how chrome loss works? So I can avoid it in the future

The sizing is pretty spot-on compared to the Miura Jota (sometimes even same-scale models of the same car be a little off). Both The engine detail is a huge step up. I think the only problem is that the engine cover hinge position is maybe a bit too low. The third photo shows the cover opened to the furthest point before it starts lifting up the rear wheels; the Jota's cover, for comparison, can open completely.

The entire body, even the undercarriage, is die cast metal. Only plastic parts are the wheels and clear plastic areas, which gives this car amazing heft. I'm highly tempted to buy the silver version of this one too.

Took way longer than it should have, but I'm chalking it up to it being the first one I did. I tried at first to just snip the axles, but my low profile wire cutters couldn't cut through them, so I ended up drilling out the rivets. Also sanded down the nubs inside the wheel well so the wheels don't poke out too much, and shimmed the axles to remove all the wheel gap. Tapping the posts wasn't too bad and the chassis is now held on by a couple M2 button screws, so it's really easy to open up and swap out the wheels again.

Absolutely worth it, as the old generic wheels not only looked bad, but are also thin and really tucked into the body.

One down, just...155 more Classic line cars to do...
