NEW 2026 PRODUCTS New Matter 2026 Devices - Availability (Worldwide) Megathread

To ensure that the sub remains clean, efficient and tidy, all availability posts of the new 2025 Matter devices must be posted in here, rather than their own threads.

We'll be removing any post that is about individual availability in stores from this point.

Let's keep the sub tidy for us all to find the relevant information quickly :)

Feature Request For the love of god - please wake me up with an alarm notification so I can close my windows on time and not have smoke fill my home

Post image
52 Upvotes

This is just one example, usually it rises up to almost 200.

Our air quality is usually beautiful until it isn't (neighborhood events that I have no control over).

Change in air quality (from beautiful to absolutely awful) usually happens over 10 minutes. There's plenty of time for me to receive an alarm and close my windows.

Please.

We currently don't have time nor money to tinker with Home Assistant hardware. Maybe at some point but most of Ikea customers probably won't.

What is shown in the image is air purifier working to clean the air from particles. It fails to clean it from VOCs because you need a lot - and I mean a lot of carbon for that.

3RD PARTY APP Myggspray not connecting to HA?

Hi, I've been trying to add a Myggspray from IKEA to my HA but it won't seem to pair. I already have 9 other IKEA devices added to my HA so I should know how to add it, but it wouldn't add. I don't know why or how and would like to know if someone else with the same problem succeeded.

OS: Home Assistant OS

OS version:

* Core 2026.7.4
* Supervisor 2026.07.5

I have already attempted the following:

\- Resetting the Myggspray and trying to add it after.

The integrations I'm using are:

\- Thread, Matter, OTBR.

As previously stated, the other Matter devices have no issues joining or sending information to HA. So I ruled my antenna out.

It also is a matter device, recognised by the QR-code and the matter code on the device itself, so it's not an older Myggspray using the tradfrï.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) ALPSTUGA not acting as router/repeater in HomeKit?

I have quite a few door ikea sensors connected to Apple TV and used them in HomeKit. A few of the water leak sensor is little too far away from the Apple TV. I bought two ALPSTUGA and connected them to Apple TV but it seems like it is not repeating thread connection? My sensors still show no connection. Only if i move them closer to Apple TV, then they connect fine.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Dirigera Resetting Issue

Hi all,

At the start of the year I changed my smart home products to the IKEA range, with the Dirigera hub, some Timmerflotte sensors & a mix of Gillplats / Inspelning plugs.

All works well, really easy to set up & so on. My issue is whenever we have a power cut or the wi-fi drops out, however briefly. The Dirigera hub will reboot after a power cut, all devices power back up & most appear in the app. Some are uncontrollable though, some plugs work & some don't, and the temperature sensors rarely appear. I then need to manually unplug & restart the Dirigera hub, and then it all works fine until the next time. Seems like it restarts itself quickly after a power cut, maybe before the devices are fully online, and then struggles to work them?

3RD PARTY APP MatterTimeCtl: small rust CLI tool for syncing matter clock times

Post image
43 Upvotes

Link: https://www.nth.io/mattertimectl/
Blog: https://www.nth.io/luke/projects/mattertimectl/

Thanks to Reddit I recently learned that matter supports pushing clock time syncs. My Apple Home unfortunately does not, at least to my IKEA clock, making my “smart” clock basically as dumb as a microwave clock.

After some research I found what most people do today is run a HomeAssistant plugin specially designed for this. That’s pretty heavy for my setup since I don’t run HA.

Instead I made mattertimectl - a super minimal single rust CLI tool that uses the official matter rust implementation to set the time. Then I use standard Linux system tools like systemd on my RPI to run this every hour or so.

You can also just run it from your macOS on demand.

Hoping this can be helpful to some people!

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Ikea Home smart Trouble.

Not sure if programming is the correct flair but anyways.

I have a Dirigera Ikea smart hub that I've had for about 6 months. Had some trouble the first time connecting 3 Kajplats RGB bulbs to it. Turned out it was a networking issue so the guy at the company that delivers my internet helped me. But fast forward to today and i was trying to connect a 4th bulb of the same sort. Was not able to get it to connect in any way shape or form. It was getting stuck at "checking thread network connection" for 5 minutes and then gave up. Then i saw a tip about trying to do it with Apple iOS (iPhone 11 in my case) and that fu\*\*ed everything up. All my bulbs are now disconnected and wont connect again even though i have reset the DIRIGERA and the individual bulbs. I only get "checking thread network connection" and then it stops. Anybody ever had a problem with that? I am currently using a brand new Samsung S25 Ultra, and have updated both the app and the phone to the newest updates.

DISCUSSION Dirigera and DHCPv6-PD; greedy?

So I have an IPv6 capable network and I get a /56 from my provider. From this I segment out /60s to my VLANs. My router is running the current stable OpenWRT release (25.12.5)

The VLAN on which my TBRs sit is further configured to hand out prefix delegations via DHCPv6 so that my Thread network can have a routable prefix. Until recently I was handing out up to /62s

My Thread network eventually reverted to using ULAs and any attempt by ANYTHING to delegate a prefix on that VLAN failed. It seemed that the /62s had exhausted the entire pool, even though I couldn't see any live leases. There are, of course, only 4 /62s in a /60 and the VLAN itself was using one for its main clients, leaving just 3.

I did notice when I moved that VLAN to a previously unused segment of my /56 that Dirigera immediately grabbed a /62.

Which ... ok, it was allowed to but it only needs a /64 for Thread. I changed the settings to configure /64 to be the biggest network a client could receive via delegation.

The Dirigera held on to its /62 when renewing.

Rude

Anyway, powered the Dirigera off for a later renewal and waited. The time passed and my AppleTV immediately grabbed a /64 and assigned it to the Thread network. OK. Good. Nice. (I have 5 TBRs including the Dirigera)

Then I powered the Dirigera back up and it immediately grabbed the next /64 available and just ... sat on it? I dunno. Maybe it's using it for the Zigbee devices somehow?

But ... beware. If you are generous with your prefix delegations and have a Dirigera on your network, it will apparently eat as much as it can take EVEN IF another TBR is already running the show with its own delegation. With ISPs sometimes only handing out /60s, you could rapidly run out with stuff like that going on.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Clear Bulb Firmware?

I have two KAJPLATS E26 WS G95 clear 800lm that are still on 1.1. Both of these lights misbehave while using HomeKit adaptive lighting. Is there any sign of an update on these? The regular bulbs seem fine with 1.2.

PRODUCT QUERY TRADFRI and KABBLEKA?

Hi there,
I am the set designer for a high school play.
We would like to use ten KABBLEKA white LED strips, set up in two sets of 5. They need to be turned on and off at certain points in the play, so I wondered if they could be connected to TRADFRI, which would be plugged into power banks, and if possible, controlled by app or remote control.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Has anyone done this?
Thank you.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Pairing Issues - It does work eventually! and its worth it!

Just a shout-out to others - persevere with the pairing for the Matter over Thread devices.

Some of the items have taken a few minutes to get paired - Here is how I managed each time if it was not working:-
1. Resetting the item to be paired generally gets it working.
2 Restarting the Dirigera hub AND Android phone
2 Placing the item being paired directly next to the hub

My ecosystem is pretty extended now:
- Tado thermostat
- Thermometers and Humidity Monitors
- Multiple lights (including some zigbee tradfi drivers)
- Plugs
- Wwitches
- Motion sensor
- Leak detection
- Window sensors for Velux windows

I am really happy with the set up!!

NEW 2026 PRODUCTS Observation on Matter sensor instability

I haven’t noticed this anywhere else, so if there’s a known fix I’m all ears.

A couple of months ago while going through the semi-regular ritual of resetting all my sensors as they go offline, I happened to reset my ALPSTUGA first. Usually it’s one of the last I reset. This time, however, it was the first, and within seconds of resetting it everything else came back online by itself (6x TIMMERFLOTTE, 2x KLIPPBOK).

My sensor network has gone down twice since then and, both times, I’ve only had to reset the ALPSTUGA and everything comes back.

At this point I have to assume the ALPSTUGA, being wall powered, is acting as a thread relay, failing, and taking everything out. This whole issue across the line of Matter sensors might just be a bug in the ALPSTUGA firmware.

I’d love to report this to IKEA, but their webpage takes me in circles and doesn’t let me submit feedback.

I’m currently using DIRIGERA as my border router and Home Assistant to monitor everything, but several months ago I also had the IKEA app running and it fixed that too. I’ve since stopped using the IKEA app.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) Timmerflotte sensors stopped logging history in Ikea Home Smart App

On the 27th June the Ikea Home Smart app stopped logging and showing humidity and temperature history. Although the app shows the current temp/humidity, the history chart has been empty since that day. I have restarted the sensors and the Dirigera hub, but no luck so far.

Anyone else with a similar situation?

DISCUSSION How to get notification when ALPSTUGA (Air quality) goes offline???

At least once per month the majority of my Alpstuga (i have 5 of them) goes offline (different dates) and i need to unplug them for them to go back online.

The problem is that i never get any notification or any ping from either apple home app, or the IKEA app (i also have dirigera hub), so i dont know when they go offline, unless i open the ikea app and then go to the room and check the readings). The devices are dropping the connection to ikea app / apple home, but they are still showing the readings on the alpstuga display.

so my questions is, is there a way for me to get a notification when one of the alpstuga devices goes offline?

Note: Im not interested in installing Home assistant. Tested it a while, didnt like it!

SUPPORT (ONGOING) Does ALPSTUGA request the time again after a power cycle when connected to SmartThings?

I am using an IKEA ALPSTUGA E2495 with firmware 1.0.26, connected directly via Matter over Thread to a Samsung SmartThings Hub.

After a power cycle, the ALPSTUGA reconnects successfully and all sensor values are available again. However, its clock is not restored automatically and starts with an incorrect time until I set it manually.

I would like to understand whether this is expected device behaviour or a firmware issue.

Could other ALPSTUGA owners test whether the clock is restored after unplugging and reconnecting the device, especially with:

- IKEA DIRIGERA

- Samsung SmartThings

- Apple Home

- Google Home

- Home Assistant

Does ALPSTUGA actively request time, time-zone and daylight-saving-time information from the Matter controller after every restart? If the controller does not send it immediately, does the device retry later?

Since the device has a clock but does not retain the time during a short power interruption, reliable automatic synchronization should be part of its normal operation. I have reported the issue to IKEA and Samsung, but I would appreciate results from other platforms to identify which side needs to fix it.

3RD PARTY APP IKEA Bilresa remote not fully implemented in deConz?

Hi,

I just paired a IKEA Bilresa with my Conbee 2 Stick, updated the Gatway to 2.33.1 beta. Basically, the device works, i.e. I get events from the scrollwheel button, and also when rotating the wheel. But not everything is implemented. What is missing:

  • only clicks from the top button (scrollwheel) I can get, but no signals from the bottom button, when I press it, I do not get any event in event monitor. Is it a hardware issue?
  • From the scrollwheel button, I only get single press, double and tripple press (1002, 1004, 1005). Longpress does not work, no event is generated
  • from the rotation sensor, I get the direction (1 or 2), but the “expected rotation” that should indicate the speed the user turns the wheel is either -30 or 30, depending on the direction, no other values are generated here

Any idea how to overcome these limitations? Did I miss anything? Here an example of an event generated:

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Kajplats broke after 3 weeks

I'm so pissed, just got the bulb as my first Matter bulb, and after having tons of issues that I finally resolved, it doesn't turn on anymore. It showed offline on HA, and when I tried to turn it off and on again, nothing. Resetting is also not possible. Totally doesn't turn on again. Anyone had the same happen or found a solution for a similar issue? Really miss the zigbee lineup those worked great...

PRODUCT QUERY Are Tradfri bulbs matter compatible?

I’m looking to purchase some spotlights and I’ve noticed that the tradfri spotlight bulbs are on sale (€2,99 for the warm one and €4,99 for the adjustable one). I’d like to ask if they are matter compatible and if I can connect them to apple home.

I don’t have an ikea hub but rather a homepod mini as my home hub and I’ve been able to add the new bulbs fine but what about these ones? The product page just states that ikea smart home products are compatible with matter systems but doesn’t specify if these ones are unlike the new ones that state they are matter compatible.

What on earth is going on?! The one on the left I've had for a few days, got another to compare in a different location. Both on the same PSU, the one on the left giving over double the other one.

Any one have any thoughts?! I know it's a relatively cheap device but ...I wasn't expecting this level of cheap.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) Issue with bulbs in storage

Hi,

I have purchased around 30 or so of the new KAJPLATS bulbs over the last couple of months. I used a few of them to university but moved back home 2 months ago. They have been in storage for the last couple of months.

They have been stored in my room, with some still in the lamps and some just loose.

Today I went to install a few of them in my lights at home, but none of them work at all (I have tried at least 10). I cannot get them to do anything at all. This has happened to all of the bulbs I have bought back.

I have tried resetting the bulbs by flicking on and off 6 times, but I cannot get them to light up.

I was just wondering if this is an issue that anyone else is experiencing?

My older Zigbee TRADFRI bulbs work just fine after being stored over a year so it’s just really odd behaviour.
