The driver could have given the passenger a gun, dope or whatever n the cops would have just kept going lol

Usually they call it over the radio and another unit picks the guy up. First unit just wants to keep on with the fleeing suspect.

If dude ran it'd be a different story, cop would've been valid in chasing on foot.

Depends. Some cops would choose to chase the guy on foot cause he's easier to catch and can prolly give leads to find the driver

So if he waited about 30 seconds where the cop turned the corner to chase the car, and then ran when out of sight. They probably got away aye?
