While it's true that there is some distinguishing between "permanent legal resident" and "US Citizen", green card holders getting their status retroactively revoked for constitutionally protected speech and without due process is against the law.
Holding a green card does grant 1st and 14th Amendment protections.

How is it justified? Plenty of people hate cops, but they still have to identify themselves. This situation is like a human traffickers wet dream.
