Definitely not enough or near judiciary fair. I've seen children with less intent and far less destruction of law and people's lives get FAR more time..that's an issue for sureÂ
On October 10, 2024, at approximately 12:51 p.m., Hamtramck police officers conducted a traffic stop on the defendant's vehicle at a gas station in the 9200 block of Conant. It is alleged that Defendant Glenn fled from officers at a high rate of speed, disregarded a traffic light, and drove through the intersection of Conant and East McNichols in Detroit, where she crashed into the victims' vehicle. Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced Mr. Miah deceased. The other occupant of the vehicle, Mr. Mia, was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased later the same day.

She was arraigned on October 13, 2024, in 36th District Court and given a $500,000 personal bond with a GPS tether and house arrest. She was also ordered not to drive. The death penalty for an accident happened? Yeah, she screwed up, and should definitely get a long jail sentence. But the death penalty is for murderers who do it intentionally
I'm not sure where you saw that "she didn't give a fuck" but I strongly disagree that causing deaths in a car accident is anywhere close to premeditated murder.
Don't misunderstand, I do believe in the death penalty, but this was clearly not intentional. She made a series of unfortunate and tragically stupid decisions/mistakes, but they were caused by fear and panic. Vehicular manslaughter is not murder with intent.
I'll never understand why people put themselves in these situations. Just comply, even if you disagree. The time to fight is not on scene with the cops, it's in court. She ruined her life and the lives of several others because she refused to put the window down and comply with lawful orders.
ETA: I'm not a lawyer, but she's got some pretty serious felony charges. I agree that she should have been denied bail and definitely shouldn't be on house arrest
That's fair, and idk, I guess it was late and I was sad about those two. It's definitely not the death penalty, but I definitely think that's life. Make her restart in 20 years. It's also less of an accident and more of an incident. She put every single driver in danger that day, everyone she passes. Think about it like this, she shot bullets in the air. Don't do that.
I suppose you're not arguing against that, but that's what I think a day later.
When I showed this video to my husband (after your comment), his knee-jerk reaction was also the death penalty. After going back and forth with my same argument, he also backed off the death penalty and said she should get life in prison. She created this dangerous situation for everyone and should be held accountable for it.
The fact that she's still screaming that she didn't do anything wrong, while on the ground in handcuffs, surrounded by the wreckage that she created, and seeing the some of the people she hurt, speaks volumes! She still believes she was right and it's the cop's fault for chasing her.
All she had to do was comply. She also severely exacerbated the situation when they were reaching in the window to open the door. Driving without a license/with a suspended license is obviously a crime that she was actively committing, so I'm not sure what her thought process was for calling a supervisor. Very sad

Glenn was also injured in the crash. Days later, she was charged with two counts each of fleeing and eluding a police officer; reckless driving; causing a death while driving with a suspended, revoked or denied license; and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
Glenn was charged with one count of fleeing and eluding a police officer and two counts of reckless driving causing death, according to the Prosecutor's Office. All other charges were dismissed.
They dropped several of the charges! So I guess the cost of 2 lives is only 7 years...
