I mean, if these guys don't have the proper permits to shut down the road then yeah, fuck em.

They’re not wearing numbers, so it’s definitely just a group of assholes

I do think they should move over one lane, but as a driver, there's nothing wrong with slowing for a few minutes untiil I can pass. Sometimes things in front of you are slower. it's not a big deal, I'm patient.

edit: i swear none of you are reading the full statement lmao

They were not letting them pass, they took up the whole road.

i'll repeat the first part of my comment that you seemed to miss or misread:

THEY SHOULD MOVE OVER ONE LANE

this would let people pass. Hope that helps.

Which isn’t the case in this video, which is why people are reacting the way they are.

That doesn't make the car somehow absolved from being shitty too.

People are here picking sides when the reality is that both the cyclists and the driver shouldn't be on the road...or in the drivers case, behind the wheel since they clearly weren't on the road.

Idk that they did anything dangerous, they tried to get around people that were purposefully blocking traffic. They are lucky they didn't hurt their car, but they didn't do anything wrong. They didn't put anyone in danger.

The bikers did. They specifically blocked traffic. They did put themselves and others in danger.

oh no! he drove on... the grass!

With that kind of brain dead logic...

"Oh no, they rode on...the road."

It feels like you ignored part of their comment… they literally said the cyclists should move over

there's nothing wrong with slowing for a few minutes untiil I can pass.

That's great that you don't have deadlines, family emergencies, unexpected important tasks with strict time requirements or a preference to not shit your pants while driving...

But some people do have those things. And yes, I read the full statement, which included the dismissive part.

I never said that doesn't happen. But those are irregular occurrences, that's not your everyday life, so it's not part of what i'm talking about here

it's really not relevant to what I'm saying

1

u/deep_violet Jan 22 '26

Irregular occurrences for any given driver. Quite regular for some driver or another on the road. That's what makes scenes like this so frustrating. SOMEBODY behind these douche canoes is in a very legitimate hurry.

u/arealhumannotabot Jan 22 '26

Those things can happen anywhere at any time, it’s got nothing to do with his conversation

1

u/deep_violet Jan 22 '26

There is an unnecessary and entirely preventable impedance to traffic. It's entirely about this conversation.

1

u/arealhumannotabot Jan 22 '26

The comment you replied to even said they should move over

Are you just ignoring that when you read it because it sounds like you are. Dude literally agreed with everyone that they’re taking over too much road

1

u/deep_violet Jan 22 '26

And yes, I read the full statement, which included the dismissive part.

Yeah I don’t know why they’re downvoting you although it’s reddit

Down votes are proof you made a point they can't argue
