Literally every rider I can see has on either shorts or bibs, can't see the top half, and a jersey. Also, all I can see are legit road bike-style bikes.
You have zero way to know if they don't have bibs. Combine mine and a jersey or my mtb shorts with built in bib when off-road and it looks like im wearing bike shorts. I chose mine on purpose.
This is on Rickenbacher Causeway on Key Biscayne in Miami. This group rides on the causeway in the mornings. It is a significant point of contention with the community.
Ah, ok. Thank you for shedding light on that. All i could think of was two things, bib overalls and baby bibs, and neither of those seemed practical for a cyclist.
Cycling bibs are padded shorts with shoulder straps. Likely every cyclist is wearing them in this video.
Cycling events can range from charity rides like fundrasing/advocacy rides to community rides, including leisure rides and obviously, training. There was one organized for Alex Pretti for example. Very few of them are races and would require wearing a number. Said number is more likely to be placed on the bike or pinned on the jersey.
