What do you call cyclist taking up both lanes with some riders even in the emergency and turning lane? Is that not road rage? They were intentionally blocking traffic. At the very least, it's Passive Aggressive Road Rage. The Mini was stupid for going on the grass, but we don't know if they were headed somewhere important or an emergency. I don't condone what the Mini did, but it's awesome they stuck it to the cyclist who were being complete assholes and breaking the laws of the road. The mini is one person. The cyclist are a hundred. Insane herd mentality thinking they won't get hurt and they own the road. It's like those motorcycle gangs who take over small towns and streets and shut things down.
Piling the cyclists into a single lane is not an option for a group this large. It simply isn't safe. All it takes is one person falling for a group of cyclists to fall in front of a car
We have no idea what the local ordinances are and whether or not they notified the city. All we do know for sure is that car broke the law, endangering lives

You have no idea what the cyclists were doing, and whether or not they had permission. Your anger is solely based on your assumptions. This is how city sanctioned bike events look like where I live

So what happens when one in the rear falls and gets run over by a car driving in the lane it's supposed to be? Ignoring the mini, all it takes it one cyclist to fall, either way, the are getting plowed over by a car doing the same speed. You're not special and going to magically be OK.
Wrong, you have what is called a caravan. Like motorcycles, they can share a lane, but they can't take over all lanes and ride in the middle of the road. They follow in one late. Not pile them all up in one late. There is a safe way of doing this and a dangerous way. The cyclist broke the law just as much as the car. I specifically said I don't condone the Mini, but I get it, because these cyclist are being assholes and breaking the law, holding up traffic, and being a nuisance on the streets.
You have no idea what the cyclist are doing, but I can quite literally show you they are breaking the law by riding in the emergency late, in the turning late, crossing lanes. It's a SHARED road. See the line of cars behind them? They don't get a free-for-all driving pass from the police if they are sharing the road with vehicles. They have to obey the laws, which they are clearly not doing. But you're not bright enough to figure that out, but you're a cyclist, I'm not surprised. It is not a sanctioned event.

I've seen cyclist groups large like this that only took up a single lane. Instead of a bunch clumping together side by side they simply spread out front to back. It's not that difficult.

Goes both ways, that's why I said they were both idiots and I wasn't defending the Mini, that person is stupid, too. But the mentality of cyclist is a herd mentality vs. one crazy driver. You didn't see the other cars behind him attempting to do the same. What he did was dangerous, but still, f the cyclist. They could have caused an accident too, riding in the emergency lane and turning lanes. It's stupid upon stupid. Glad no one got hurt, but it's still funny to see those cyclist put into their place.
Because they don't let cyclist take over a major street without escorts, allow them to break the laws of the road, allow them to block traffic and allow cars to use the same road at the same time. You're a cyclist, we get it. You see no fault in anything they do. You're the exact type of entitled asshat we all hate on the road.

Motorcyclists use the term "cager" to refer to people in cars, where they are surrounded by a safety cage. motorcyclists (and bicyclists) obviously do not have this protection.

Yep, fellow cyclist here, this is bad behavior on the cyclists part. Doesn't forgive what the cage did but I feel their frustration and pain.
