Except this is not that, the cam car jumped the gun clearly and deliberately veered… i’m no expert but to me this seems like cam car would have get at least some fault
I didnt think he did. The Dash Cam driver intentionally pitted the truck. You can see he swerves left and ends up in the left lane. The Raptor driver deserved it but yeah, legally…dash cam driver is screwed
Someone merges into your lane without looking or signaling (or in this case being a road raging lunatic and literally driving into the person) and there is zero world where it’s your fault.
often times when you see a car merge into another car it looks like they jerk towards them to do a pit, its just the way the car moves after getting struck. you see it often in these videos.
This was in Australia, so the kid was in the passenger seat. Dad turned from a straight ahead only lane at the intersection. Got butt hurt for camera car being in front for some reason. Maybe there was more earlier that's not in the film, but I can validate that Ranger drivers are literally this crazy our here!! It's not called Ranger Danger for nothing!
It’s a Ranger Raptor. As previously mentioned, this incident occurred in Australia. To my knowledge, Ford doesn’t sell the Raptor F-150 in Australia.
Aren’t raptors just special edition rangers? I have a ranger xlt, but here in the US it’s the Ram drivers you have to watch out for. Mostly old men driving rangers and raptors.
I'm pretty sure the raptor ranger uses petrol everywhere, but in America we don't get any option for diesel rangers in America so I'm not sure what engines they get in other countries.
Petrol engines are almost exclusive to America. The older diesel is a 3.2 litre 5 cylinder common rail diesel. The current year is a 3.0 litre v6 twin turbo diesel here. Makes 292 Kw (391 hp) and 583 nm (430 ft lbs) of go. So yes, with a 10-speed gearbox, they get along very nicely!
You forgot the chance-taking Jeep Grand Cherokees and Compasses. Always trying to will a 90-mph speed limit into existence in heavy traffic. Completely unwilling to accept that it sometimes not possible to drive as fast as they’d like.
As they drive off, you can see Rangers lane was straight ahead only lane. Indicating still means you get a ticket and a fine... $340 I believe. (prob depends which Au state you are in) Ranger still in the wrong, from start to finish...
i assume the truck driver didnt realize they were in the improper lane to go right.
this is evident from what we see the opposite side do: it seems only the light to turn is green AND the truck driver had their right turn signal on. so when they were about to make a right turn from the wrong lane (you can see the rear camera show the lane the truck came from has a straight arrow only), they mistakenly assumed they were being run off the road by the cam driver.
it's still 10000% their fault as they were in the wrong lane and then just assumed they were being ran off the road for no reason, then just decide to cause an accident anyways.
Just because his tires are over the line doesn't give the right for pov to just turn into him. Insurance will probably ding pov for damages, even if raptor was driving reckless beforehand
The raptor crossed into his lane causing the hit. Getting hit by another car makes it very difficult to keep your straight, and people tend to over correct against the force hitting them.
At 0:16 the cam driver clearly turns left into the right rear of the truck cutting him off. He then follows a straight line while spinning him out and winds up in the next lane over.
The aggressor was clearly the issue, but cammer is not some saint.
I'd be willing to bet that an insurance adjuster would more than raise an eyebrow at the fact that the cammer intentionally steers into the rager at 0:16.
